Our residents enjoy Engagement choices that meet their individual needs.

Engagement is the word we use instead of "activities"because our program focuses on the connection with the person - not the outcome of a task. Our Life In Motion programs offer 10-14 engagements per day, designed to meet the unique needs

and interests of the residents. Our program has 8 key areas; a favorite focus is PURPOSE based programs, because we believe strongly that each of our friends enjoy contributing to their community. This contribution has been shown to reduce stress,

helplessness and isolation often associated with this journey.

Description of Arbor House of Dallas

Arbor House Assisted Living is a Memory Care Specialized Community with a Certification to provide Alzheimer's care. Care and caring is delivered by trusted friends. Our team members get to know your loved one as more than a resident or patient, but as a friend. The concept of the Best Friends Approach to Caring, allows your loved one to develop a trusting relationship with a particular few team members that will eat meals with them, plant a garden with them, sing with them, and of course, play bingo with them. These same team members will also oversee their medication and personal needs. The friendship that develops during engagement helps reduce stress and paranoia during times of care...often reducing the the need for medications which are designed to do the same thing. Overnight respite and day stay are also available 24/7.
