My mother is at Woodland Terrace at the Oaks. It seems to be OK. She has been there since the beginning of May. It's very neat and clean. The people are friendly. They seem to be taking good care of her. They provide 3 meals plus a snack. They have physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. My mother is being evaluated if they can do anything to improve her condition.

I guess things haven't changed since my mother was there for two months in 2014 in the dementia unit. We had to move her out for many of the same reasons listed by the recent reviewer. She was left to lay on the floor all night, not brought out for dinner, no medical care given when injured, the list goes on. It may have beautiful rooms, but the staffing and management leaves much to be desired.

This review is strictly for the memory care unit. If I could give no stars, I would. This place should be shut down immediately. The Memory care unit is understaffed, and the staff that is there is negligent with one exception (Pat is terrific). A staff member put my poor grandmother back into bed with a broken femur. We found her lying in bed in excruciating pain several hours later. We had to take her to the ER, no effort was made by the staff to facilitate anything. She passed away shortly thereafter, luckily she did not pass away inside the urine and feces soaked walls of that place. When we went to clean out her room, the entire memory care staff was sitting and chatting, not paying attention to any residents, most of whom are unable to talk to walk. When I went through my loved ones belongings, it looked like her laundry wasn't done for months if not years. The toliet was brown and filthy. The residents in memory care are not provided with diapers or helped with hygiene in any way. The staff doesn't ensure that people are eating or showing up for meals. One time the heat was broken and nothing was being done to keep the residents warm, so we brought in blankets. They over medicate residents to the point where they lie helpless in bed all day. Bottom line- if you want to spend thousands a month for your loved one to be ignored and treated worse than a caged animal, send them here.
