The Waterford at Richmond Heights is a first class senior living community. The community is split in two, there is an independent living section and an assisted living section to the rear of the property. The independent living section is breathtaking, it contains a lot of sitting options, a library, community room for activities and most of all a large open dining room. The dining experience at this community is restaurant style with table side service. The activities are fun and age appropriate for seniors to help stimulate mind and body. The only con is that there is not a memory care neighborhood for residents that have dementia and would need to transfer to a secured setting with activities tailored to their cognitive needs. The assisted living doors are secured but does not provide enough security to prevent an elopement of a resident. There did not seem to be a location for many activities in assisted living like there was in the independent living portion of the community. Otherwise, I would recommend this community for individuals that do not have cognitive disorders or who have mild cognitive impairments and are not an elopement risk.
