I Visited This Facility

I visited Pearl Crossing, and I was impressed with the arrangement of the rooms. Some of the rooms have private balconies, and a large open dining area in the middle. They have a laundry room, exercise rooms, games, activities arranged by an activities director, and a library. It's two stories with a big, central stairway, and an elevator. They serve three meals a day.

We toured Pearl Crossing and it was really nice. The person who showed us everything was also very nice, and he told us all the good things and bad things about the place (although there are no bad things). We also had lunch there and the food was good. We saw the apartments and the small exercise room.

I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident

Pearl Crossing is very good, and they're very empathetic, caring people. All the residents there are the same. They care a great deal for my parents. My mother just passed away on Sunday and everybody there is very endearing and understanding. They are providing a room at no charge for my aunt to come to stay overtime for the funeral, and they provide her meals also. The place is great and I don't know what I would do without them. The food is great, but they probably could have more options as far as different kinds of soups, but that's pretty minor.

My rooms at Pearl Crossing look pleasant enough. They have a laundry room on every floor, they serve three meals a day, and there are lots of activities. They have exercise rooms and a room set up with puzzles for anyone to use at their leisure. I met some people there and had a nice lunch. The menu and the food are okay. It looks well-maintained and the location is a big plus.

Pearl Crossing was nice, but their bathroom wasn't very clean. We weren't extremely impressed with the food. The staff who assisted me was very nice, but at the time we were there, there didn't seem to be a whole lot going on. They did have a separate area for playing bingo or card games, and there were some exercise machines in a very small alcove. They need to improve on the apartments. Everything looked cheap, like the cabinets and the appliances. They need an upgrade.

I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident

I placed my mom in Peal Crossing about a month and a half ago, and I am really pleased because it is clean and had the exact kind of apartment she wanted. You will get a lot more for your money there than you would from other places. They provide three meals a day and have services to help administer my mother’s medication. That’s pretty much all she needs right now. It is just a perfect setup. Her apartment is bigger than the one she was in before. Overall, it is a nice facility with a ton of activities, but my mom does not want to participate. They try to include her, but this is just the way my mom is. This is why it is perfect for her because she does not have to participate. My mother is just a loner. She likes to be in her apartment with her music and her puzzles. She has dementia, and it is a comfort zone for her. I think the food is good. I am very happy with the services. I don't have any complaints.

I Am A Current/Past Resident

I have lived here not quite 2 months . The food has improved but was terrible!! We had a beautiful elegant and dignigied atria as an entrance and the new managers have put a coffee station with tables and chairs in what Robb (new manager ) stated was an "empty room" It is a disaster. papers scattered and dirty cups on tables and and open waste can on display. About 7 people use it also for card playing and everyne else hates it! If it had been this way when i was looking I wouldn't even have looked at apartments. I was quoted one price (with witnesses) when I looked and another when I signed the lease , also there is a "buy in" despite your saying there isn't. I suggested a small coffee station on the second fioor where the exercise room, game room and library are located They also removed the draperies from the windows without asking anyone. I have waited 2 months for a drip to be stopped in my batnroom sink I have reported it twice The maintnenace man says he needs a part but that was at least 10 days ago and I say he should hava a helper for a place this size Priscilla and Lou ar excellent managers but these new ones Robb and Susan have come n and taken over The elevator was down 5 times in the time I have been here and the last time it was 6-7 days or more before it was fixed. We were lied to about the part being overnighted and it took a resident to send and E mail to some one in authority before we got any action. I had to climbe steps to get up and down to dining room and have since had additional medical attention including 3 epidurals because i am not supposed to climb , push ,. pull or lift There were people on the 3rd floor who did not get down for days!!!!!!!and food was carried to them. cold and late. You have lost 3 potential renters because I have not hesitated to tell them exactly what they were getting . I love my apartment and am hoping things will change for the better and i will get what I was promised when I moved in here. Janet Hemeyer 236
