I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident

My 92 year old mother moved into independent living appartment 2 years ago. There have been 3 administators. Current one thankfully leaving too. Special events often rescheduled, cancelled. Mother complained @ broken heat-a/c unit 4/21/15, about another snake at front door again. Maintenance tech reported at least 1 week for repair part.Administrator again too busy to respond. Cleaning staff turnover great, current one refuses to vaccum under front of couch (bending)or dust fan blades with extended wand (reaching). Last one watched tv, didn't clean. Mother did. Parking lot is trip hazard for residents, visitors, staff. Windshield chipped from flying mowing debris. Meals fried or mushy, inedible.

I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident

we thought we were putting my 90 year grandfather in a safe place when he could no longer live alone. His wife and Two sons are deceased so my brother and I are doing our best to make sure he is is in good hands. Especially since he is diabetic. We went to visit him and he he was in terrible condition. There was an open sore on his leg that no one bothered to look after (this is dangerous for diabetics). He was disoriented and clearly had a fever. When we asked him what was wrong he said his leg hurt but nobody has done anything about it. The "nurse" took his temperature and it read 97.9. We knew that was wrong so we did everything we could to get someone in the room to re-check his vitals. Same results so we decided that he needed to go to the ER. The staff showed no compassion and no apologies. In fact they were extremely rude and raised their voices at us for pointing out what was clearly a BIG mistake on their end. My grandfather ended up being admitted to the hospital with a fever of 103.2, an infected sore that spread to his bloodstream, cellulitis, another bedsore on his bottom and infection in his groin. He was completely neglected and could have died had we not shown up. That place doesn't even have a thermometer that works. You would think something as basic as taking someone's temperature would be reliable, but that place doesn't even take the time to make sure they have proper equipment much less proper care. The staff is rude and there is no care whatsoever.
