I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident
We had a mother who was in this facility for 1 1/2 years. Unfortunately, our experience with this company was very disturbing. The Director of Nursing said we had to sign papers to have our mother admitted to the facility. We specifically stated we weren't going to sign anything that made us financially responsible for her care. We stated this at least four times during our conversation and she stated, no, signing this does not hold you financially responsible, but in order to have her admitted, these papers need to be signed. Well, guess what! My mother was private pay the first year and than was Medicare. The county refused to pay for 3 1/2 months of rent due to ridiculous accusations, and the Director of Nursing decided to turn us in for Vulnerable Adult Abuse because we refused to pay the balance owed from our own pocket. Also, many of my mother's clothes were missing on a regular basis. This was brought to the attention of the DON, as well as the head of the company. This was addressed, and there was a change for about three weeks. Than, it was the same old story. Also, the activities that we were told she would be involved in, very rarely happened. My mother was evicted due to the fact that we refused to pay my mother's balance of 3 1/2 months care. We had already found another place to take her long before she was evicted because of all the issues that we tried to address and were never resolved. I would never put a loved one in this facility!!!!! Beware! No matter where you admit a loved one, bring an attorney with you!
