Mom's room at The Marquette is very bright and spacious. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food is good, too. The dining area is bright and welcoming. They have a patio with chairs and rocking chairs.

We chose The Marquette because I like the entertainment that they offer to their residents. The building is very open and based on a cruise ship where the whole center of the building is open with the apartments along the outside. The staff is very good except for the chef because the food is terrible. They don’t listen to the residents, and I think that is just the way it is. For activities, they have an area with gym equipment, a little library area, movie room, pool table, and beautiful garden area.

Description of The Marquette

Nestled in a beautifully landscaped setting next to a protected wetland, you can’t help but be impressed by the splendor of our facilities and the convenience of the amenities and attractions in the nearby community. The Marquette is just moments away from a fantastic range of shopping opportunities, world-class healthcare facilities, sumptuous dining options and entertaining local destinations. Enjoy lazy days visiting the Potters Park Zoo and the stunning Ledges of Grand Ledge. Tee off at the Eagle Eye or Timber Ridge golf courses, or visit the Dodge Turner House. When you retire in East Lansing, there’s no shortage of exciting ways to enjoy your senior years.

The Marquette is owned and managed by Holiday Retirement, a company that has provided comfort and security to retiring seniors since 1971. This is what we fondly call “The Holiday Touch.”

Featured Amenities

Residents of our popular retirement community enjoy delicious cuisine, prepared by our professionally trained chefs and served three times daily in our beautiful, restaurant-style dining room. Our menu is designed with the specific dietary requirements of our seniors in mind and the ingredients are always fresh and wholesome. Private dining facilities are available should you wish to celebrate a special occasion with guests.

There is a full calendar of activities, events and volunteer opportunities, designed to support our holistic approach to wellness. Relax in the TV and media room, enjoy a game or a puzzle in our billiards lounge and game room, show us what you’re made of in our regular Wii bowling tournament or just sit back and enjoy the elegant surroundings with a book chosen from our well-stocked library.
