I toured Independence Village and loved this place. There were three floors, and each room had a balcony. It's quite nice. The people seemed to have a good time, and they were going to a movie when I got there and popping popcorn in the lobby. The staff member was very nice and very informative in regard to any questions that I had. She had a lot to tell me about the people who live there.

We liked Independence Village of Plymouth. It was very clean and very well laid-out. The person who accommodated us was very knowledgeable and very friendly. The dining area looked very good. There were things for the residents to do. There were puzzles lying out to be put together, and it looked like they played cards, too.

I visited Independence Village of Plymouth. The rooms were adequate, but they're more expensive than I could afford. They showed me an exercise room, a lounge area, and a play area. The dining area was a formal setup. It was spacious and clean, and they had probably the best food of all the places around. They've been very cordial and they've been following up with me. The woman was willing to make some monetary modifications. She was very cooperative.

My mum has lived at Independence Village of Plymouth since June 2017. We are glad we chose this community. Mum loves to attend the exercise classes that are held 7 days a week, choir and the evening music events. Sunday brunch is also a hit as Mum can invite her family (including the great grand kids) to join her for this excellent event. I feel confident that Mum is in a safe place. This gives me the freedom I go to work or travel out of town.

I saw Independence Village, and my overall impression was very good. It's comfortable to get around, well put together, and had nice amenities. In the lobby, they had a glass case with birds flying around, and it blew me away. It overlooked a forest area. The meals were always available, and you could eat by yourself, have it brought, or eat with a group. The staff I met was very friendly, very open, very willing to discuss things, and I never had the feeling of being pressured. They had different sized apartments, most with kitchens and washing machines inside. They had a place for visitors, a very nice common room, and a whole bunch of people playing bridge. They had music groups, and I am a musician.

I wasn't that thrilled with Independence Village of Plymouth. My mom wasn't thrilled with it either. I think it was too large of a place for her; it seemed overwhelming. The amenities were nice, and the rooms I saw were nice enough, but it was quite a bit more expensive. It was at least $500 more per month. The tour person was very nice, but I didn't have any interaction with anybody else.

Independence Village was an old hotel. The food looked very nice, but I didn't like that they had multiple floors, and the rooms were small. They had a cage with all sorts of birds in the foyer and a bus that would take people places.

We chose Independence Village of Plymouth because it is smaller and more intimate than other facilties. There's hardly any parking space, but it suited my husband's needs. The people are very nice, well educated, down-to-earth, and very pleasant, especially the ones that managed the place. The only problem is that they don’t serve food on Sundays except for sandwiches. The living quarters are smaller compared to other places and there's not enough food. For example, the morning meal is not a complete meal. Their price is too high for the services we're getting, and compared to other places. However, the place is very clean and very pleasant. They have birds out front that look very nice and they add to the liveliness of the place. The personnel that come to clean the room are very happy and nice, they're always smiling.

Tasty sandwiches with condiments and chips are prepared for independent residents to pick up in the evening on Sundays. Enhanced Living residents enjoy a light supper on Sunday nights in the dining room. On the third Sunday of each month a fabulous Sunday Brunch is offered complete with carving stations, gourmet sides, an omelette station, dessert buffet, etc. Residents make reservations to accommodate family and friends who rave about the experience. Regarding parking, there is plenty of parking in the back with an entrance available through the courtyard. I like Independence Village of Plymouth because it's close to my house and clean. The staff seem really nice. They have field trips, movie nights, bingo, and arts and crafts. They have housekeeping, and my father has food delivered to his room. He has someone give him meds and check on him several times a day. Most of the staff is good, but there are a few who take a little bit longer to respond than others. They do a good job overall. We took a small apartment because we don't want to pay as much and it's good so far.

We are definitely having a good experience at Independence Village of Plymouth. They are socially good, which is why we looked into it for my mother. They're very professional and very thorough. They actually care about the people. It's affordable and nearby. I have nothing but good things to say about them. The community is well kept. They have just about anything that seniors may want, like bridge, crafts, exercise classes, community trips, and events. They provide meals and bring a podiatrist in. It's a very comprehensive and well-run organization.

I thought Independence Village of Plymouth was very nice. It was very clean and very friendly, the person who took me around knew people by names. It was a very nice atmosphere. The accommodations were really quite lovely. It looked like a resort. It didn’t look like an assisted living or nursing home, and it was very nice.
