I liked Oxmoor Lodge, it seemed to be very clean, and I didn't have any problems with that. The staff was very nice, and the people that lived there were very friendly, and I was very impressed. The only thing I didn't like was the size of the apartments. Also, there's no kitchen, there's just a counter with a sink against the wall and a real tiny refrigerator. The guide that gave me the tour was running me ragged. I have COPD, and he just walked us to death. He wasn't the person who was supposed to do the tour, and maybe that's why he didn't know what he was doing. The lady who was supposed to take us on the tour wasn't there that day. I tried the food and it was acceptable. It was not bad, but not very good either, because their chef just quit.

I liked the rooms at Oxmoor Lodge, and the people were very nice. The place was very nice, too. They have a computer room and a beauty shop. They also have nurse practitioners on site. The studio apartment that I chose is on the first floor and it's very convenient. They serve three meals a day, and they can take me to my doctors' appointments. They also provide housekeeping. The staff was very friendly.

Oxmoor Lodge was more expensive than the other community I saw. However, it seemed nice and the people were very friendly. It seemed like there were a lot of people more in my husband's age range. The apartments were clean, but they were very small, and the cost was actually higher. The dining area seemed fine; it seemed to be quite active. There seemed to be a lot of people and they seemed to enjoy their meals. They did have a beauty salon, a small area for reading, and an activity room.

Oxmoor Lodge was nice; I liked it. They had bingo, movie night, and a formal dining room with tablecloths. It was very nice. The staff was very courteous and friendly. They had transportation to church and the drugstore. Eric was especially nice and he was the one who met me and took me around. I was very pleased with the place and I would love to live there.

I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident

Oxmoor Lodge is a beautiful place that takes care of everyone. It has very friendly and helpful people working there who seem to do everything they can for the residents. So far, we have not had any complaints. My relative's room is very small, but she has everything she needs and has help on Thursdays to clean and change her bed. Every day they have something to do, like cards, people singing, and a walking club. They have a beautiful dining room. The food is pretty good.

My mom moved into Oxmoor Lodge. It's very homey, very welcoming, colorful, and the grounds are really nice. However, certain parts of the building needs to be freshened up. They have good programs for the seniors living there, and there are plenty of things going on, but you also have the freedom to stay in your apartment. The staff in the dining room is very good, the cleaning staff is OK, and so is the facilities guy. I hired an onsite caregiver to check on her twice a day.

I like the location of Oxmoor Lodge. I think In the long run, we would select them if we decide to go that route. We decided to stay home or downsize because it's way too expensive to go to one of those places. We joined them for lunch, and it was OK. The houses were adequately sized but way too expensive. Overall, they should lower the cost, but the rest of it was fine.
