I Visited This Community
If you are searching for a place to retire that allows you direct access to the beauty of nature, while still living in a suburban setting--this is an excellent place to consider. There is a man-made lake, and the community rests on 60 acres of beautiful green land. Residents can even keep their own small garden if they wish. Each apartment has an outdoor area, either a patio or balcony. The kitchens have a built-in seating area which eliminates the need for a dining room table in the already cozy space. However, there are large duplexes available for those who prefer a bit more room. The facility is well-kept, and the staff is professional. The menu selections are rotated regularly, and is superior to that of most independent living communities. There are at least one or two parties or group events each month, and a list of daily activities. The options for offsite excursions could improve a bit. Residents can stay in the same community as their independence declines.

Description of Windsor Park Manor
For seniors who wish to enjoy nature in their retirement, there is simply no community finer than Windsor Park. Located on more than 60 acres in lovely Carol Stream, just west of Chicago, we take advantage of our area's natural beauty like nowhere else, while also offering superb care options, no matter what stage of retirement you or your loved one is in.
Windsor Park is a Covenant Retirement Community. As one of the nation's largest not-for-profit retirement housing providers, Covenant Retirement Communities has been dedicated to its faith-based mission since 1886.
As you approach Windsor Park, you'll wonder why you couldn't have been living here sooner. Whether it's our acres of groomed parkland, our five fish-stocked lakes or our 100-plus miles of bike trails, our campus is simply stunning. And no matter what the weather, there's always a way for our residents to get outside and enjoy what nature has to offer.
Of course, there's also plenty to do inside. Our woodworking shop, creative arts studio and game room provide dedicated spaces for many of our residents' favorite hobbies. When you're hungry, you'll find something satisfying on our restaurant-quality, ever-evolving menus. And each night, you'll enjoy resting and relaxing in your new home, available in a variety of sizes and floor plans, each of which includes a patio or balcony from which you can enjoy our grounds.
Because there's something always going on at Windsor Park, we want each of our residents to focus on the excitements of retirement, not the stresses of daily chores. Thanks to our housekeeping and home maintenance services, our residents know that their home will remain in pristine condition.
Best of all, once you join Windsor Park, you and your family will have the peace of mind that comes with our superb staff and care options. As our residents' needs progress, so to does our care, as we offer assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care.
If you picture retirement as a way to get outside, enjoy fresh air and take advantage of the Chicagoland's beauty while also living among friends, Windsor Park is the place for you.
