I Visited This Facility

We visited Tamarack. The rooms were too small for us. We saw the library and the dining room. It was clean and very well kept. The staff that we saw were very friendly and very nice. We did not have a meal there. It did not make an impression on me.

Tamarack was nice and clean, and people were friendly. The apartments had a little sitting room, a separate bedroom, and a nook area for a kitchen. It looked great and was in a good location. The grounds were very clean.

The apartment at Tamarack was extremely small, claustrophobic and dark, old, dreary, and worn-out. There were no residents walking around, but I did see a few going to dinner. The person who took me on the tour was very nice. They should have more lighting.

I didn't like Tamarack. It had the damp smell of old people. The staff was OK. The apartments were small but OK. Everything was fine, except for the smell.

I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident

My dad is in Tamarack. It’s a fine assisted living place, and they take care of him. The meals are fine. Everything is fine. I don't have any complaints, and my dad doesn’t complain about anything. They offer a lot of stuff, but my dad doesn’t get involved in too many things. He’s best left alone. The food is overcooked once in a while, but old people don’t complain. He has a separate bedroom, and the help is friendly.

Tamarack is an old place. They don’t have a swimming pool or a facility for water aerobics. Everybody was very nice to us; however, we'd really like a pool, and that was that thing that put us off. The staff who accommodated us was very nice, cordial, and answered all of our questions. The food was excellent.
