I Visited This Facility
Elmcroft of Milford Chase would have been our first choice. It was very clean and didn't have an odor. The staff was very friendly and looked like they worked well with the residents. The menu looked like a place I would want to go for lunch or dinner. The dining room was wonderful, like fine dining. The grounds were nicely taken care of.

I Visited This Facility
Elmcroft of Milford Chase was a very nice, clean environment without any odors. They had something similar to a Make-a-Wish Foundation wall that I thought was neat. They picked some of the patients to fulfill their wish or dream, and then they publish it so then everybody can see it. That left these people with the feeling that they're not forgotten. I like what I saw. The place was in very good condition. It looked friendly and not like a commercial place. It had a hominess to it that I think is very important for assisted living people. The dining area was very nice. They had a room where they could go in and play dress up.

I Visited This Community
From the time I drove up to this facility, I felt at home. The long porch with the rockers, really presented itself for the population being served. The building is one story, so that offers an attractive feature as well. The staff was very pleasant, helpful and professional. There appeared to be a turn over of staff as the Executive Director indicated she had only been there a little less than a month. She also indicated that she had just hired a community relations director who had not yet started. The community was very clean and very quiet. I visited late morning. This community offers a Alzheimer and Dementia care unit which I found attractive should one need to transition and receive that continuum of care. The residents are provided the options of additional care such as medication management and they are also allowed to hire personal caregivers. This is plus since some local communities require residents to use their (the facility's) own contracted agency. All the rooms are private, which also makes for a pleasant living experience. The menus are posted and a monthly newsletter is provided.
