University Pines was a very nice place. The programs they had were excellent. We enjoyed the activities they had. I just don't think I have the money to go there. They had puzzles. They serve three meals a day. They showed us a one- and two-bedroom, and they were excellent. I was very satisfied with the place. It was clean and they had a lot of activities.

Everything was good at University Pines. The only objection I had was the rooms were too small. I live in a house that's 2,200 square feet, and it was just too much of a downsize for me. I met a couple of people who live there, and they were all happy. I don't have objections. For somebody else, it will be perfect, but it's just not for me. Everything was adequate. Everybody was very friendly and accommodating. I'm sure I would get along with all of them if I were to stay there. Everything was neat and clean.

University Pines was my wife's top pick. However, I didn't think they provided enough activities for people to do. The apartments were very small, and their prices were the highest of any place that we went to. The reason my wife liked it was because they had a huge dining room that was on the bottom floor. Then they had walkways on each floor above, and the view is right down on the dining area. It was very nice and very modern.

I Am/Was A Resident Of This Facility

I'm a resident of University Pines for 3-1/2 years now. It's more like a nursing home in my opinion and it's expensive too. Most of the staff are nice. They do have activities. They have a bus that will take people places, but it doesn't have a ramp for someone who is in a wheelchair. They do trips too, but I can't participate because I can't ride their bus. I'm in a wheelchair and they don't have wheelchair-access.

University Pines was very nice. The appearance and everything was beautiful, but it didn't have several levels of care, which is what I was looking for. The rooms were studios, but I thought they were too small. They have three meals a day and they also have meeting places. I wasn't all the way impressed with them, because all the medical aspects are separate. They don't have a resident nurse or regular medical help. You have to take care of whatever you need on your own, they're independent living only.

University Pines was very posh. They showed us their library and studios. They discussed the four-course dinners and meals and how people dressed up for them. They showed us where the laundry was done. The staff was friendly.

I think University Pines is lovely, and I'm ready to move in there. A friend took me to see the place, and I was totally impressed. They invited us to lunch and showed us some of the rooms. They had a vacancy, so I reserved a room about a week later. They're very kind and friendly. I've been there three times now. The food was excellent. They remembered me and were very friendly. They had a library and someone who drives you to go shopping on certain days or take you to church. It's a very nice place.

University Pines was wonderful. It was very nicely set up, clean, and felt very comfortable. The staff was very helpful. However, the price was more than my mother-in-law could afford, but the facility seemed very nice. I liked all the activities that they offered and how the meals were presented. They had a nicely set up arts and crafts room and a place for movie nights. They had pretty much any activity that people wanted to do, like if they wanted to play cards or put a puzzle together. They had a small library and a lot of amenities.
