I Visited This Facility

The Willows was a newer, two-story place and cost a lot to live there. They had a theater and game tables. The couple of people I met were really nice. Everybody looked like they were having a good time. It was a very nice place with bigger rooms and nice showers. The rooms had bedrooms, sitting rooms, and kitchenettes. They had a lot of amenities.

My neighbors have settled into The Willows. They moved in there last July. It's very good. We are well satisfied with it. My neighbors like it too. They're in an apartment, which is very nice. It's a 2-bedroom-2-bath, and it's 900 square-feet. They have three meals a day down in the dining room. Food is excellent. They also have a movie theater, an exercise room, and a beauty salon. They have card games, pool tables, and crafts of all kinds. Activities are fantastic. This place is highly recommended.

I'm interested in The Willows. It's located properly, the pricing is good, and it's a very nice facility. They have a Parkinson's group that meets there once a month and have an all-around good variety of activities. Their dining room is open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., which is very attractive to me, so you don't have to have breakfast or lunch at a certain time. You can eat whenever you want to. The staff was very nice. They also have transportation available.

Wow! Beautiful property! We find the staff to be skilled and accomodating, and the food is top notch. We understand that there was some turnover last summer, but its clear that the right folks are in place now. Its definetly worth a look, close to The Villages and drs and shopping.

Absolutely a two month nightmare !! Beautiful place BUT that is all. Facility should not have been opened with the poor quality of staff, which is constantly being fired and replaced with more of the same. Never followed care plan..medicine records were a joke. Weekends consisted of staff borrowed from other facilities and no clue as to what was to be done with patient care... Management came in and promises made but not kept.. Lied to from day 1 !!! Do not allow your loved one in THE WILLOWS. OF WILDWOOD......RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN !!

I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident

My in-law has been in this facility since it opened this year, and our experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. A carousel of staff coming in and out, inadequate and poorly trained staff and revolting and inappropriate meals have been daily issues. What dietary genius plans corn on the cob for dementia patients?? I have witnessed residents not being changed from soiled clothing, not bathed, and in other ways not attended to. Lack of skilled staff who respond inappropriately to alzheimer's patients cause those patients to react in negative ways. This response is not the fault of the resident, but the fault of the impatient and uncaring untrained staff.
