We're moving to The Phoenix at Delray. It was nice and very homey, and the people were charming. The rooms were lovely and had a lovely atmosphere. We liked it better than any other place we saw. We're looking forward to living there in a few weeks.

I decided to move into The Phoenix at Delray. We chose it because of the people and the feeling that I got. Everybody's very friendly. I was able to get a first floor unit with very little walking. My apartment is right near all the activities so I don't have to do a lot of walking. It has two bedrooms and two baths with a lovely screened-in porch. The food is fine. There's a choice of several things on the menu. I can't say enough about the place. Everybody's been so nice and so helpful, from the amenities, to the people, and the food. I don't have anything bad to say about it.

I found the Phoenix at Delray for my mom. It's very clean, bright, modern, and everyone is very friendly. The staff and the people staying there are very friendly. Everyone has been helpful in helping me transition my mom. They've been helping in all aspects of the move. My mom will move in on Saturday. The room that she's getting is a 1-bedroom. It has a full kitchen, bathroom, ceramic countertops, dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator. It also has a balcony. There's a library in each section, an exercise room, pool, spa, steam room, and sauna.

The Phoenix at Delray was very nice, but it's just getting organized again. They only had 60 residents and I would like a larger group to make my choice of friendships firm. It used to be condo buildings, so they had huge kitchens which took up a lot of space which I would not utilize. They seem to have a very good outreach program in the community. They also have a very nice lobby, a little bistro, and a nice dining room. The activities are pretty much centralized.

I Am A Past Client Of This Provider

My family is unhappy with The Phoenix. My mother had a stroke the day I was moving her things into the apartment with movers. She had further setbacks in the hospital, and now and will need 24/7 care for the rest of her life. The Phoenix refuses to return the community fee, even though my mother never was able to live there, stating that it's nonrefundable. We offered to pay per diem for the days her belongings were there before movers could remove them. We've been told by the Regional Director of four local communities in our area, the Sales Director for another, and a placement specialist in senior communities that this is wrong, and that the money should be refunded in full- that they all would in the same circumstance. We were told by The Phoenix that a gentleman had changed his mind after moving some belongings into the apartment before my mother. So, The Phoenix has his $3,125 community fee, my mother's and the next persons..By the time the next person actually lives there they'll have $9,375 in community fees for one apartment, then rent. Our mother had a STROKE, to refuse to return her money, citing a signed lease is WRONG.

The happy hour at The Phoenix at Delray was wonderful. There were lots of activities going on. We ate after the happy hour, and food was good. The staff was wonderful. However, the apartments were small, and the place itself was not very pretty. I feel that I can do better with a prettier atmosphere.

Don't move in you will regret it! Awful place to live! Noisy, dirty, construction noise constantly, elevators breaking, staff that does not care. Construction workers everywhere, air quality very poor due to lack of ventilation of building during demolition. The current residents hate living here!!!!!
