I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident
We chose Grace Manor Port Orange for my mom for different reasons. They seemed to have a more activities directly related to my mom's illness and what would help her. Other nursing homes and assisted living charge a community fee and Grace Manor was on the lower end of the spectrum compared to other facilities that we toured. My mom is doing much better and they're constantly doing activities with her and monitor her daily. She enjoys it there. That's her new home and family now, which puts us a little more at ease. My mom is in the memory care section. My father has eaten there a couple of times and said that the meals are really good and well-balanced, and since my mom has been there, she's actually eating more in a structured environment like that than she ever had in the last couple of years. They have arts and crafts, musicians who come in, dance classes, and a humane society brings pets for interaction. They also do outdoor activities, and something where all the family members could come and be a part of, like a cookout of a carnival. They try to keep the family members involved with the residents, which is pretty cool. The nursing staff has been extraordinary working with my mom. The facility is really sharp-looking, nice, and clean. It's a little pricey but with the amenities, it's well worth it.

I Visited This Facility
Grace Manor Port Orange was very secure and clean. The only issue was that there wasn't very many people there and the rooms were a little bit small. They had a stand by generator, a whole kitchen, and so on. The staff members that we met were very nice. The memory care seemed to provide one-on-one care and that was really impressive. When we were there, they were sitting together and someone was reading to them. They had great activities like socials in the evenings and ice cream during the afternoons. It's the little things that matter.

Description of Grace Manor Port Orange
We designed every corner of our community to reflect the warmth and relaxing feeling of home. Because we are not a national chain, we can design each of our communities to reflect the culture and style of the area. Florida, and especially Port Orange, is a very casual and open community and Grace Manor reflects that. When you walk through our doors, you will see how it emulates a lovely, and yet relaxed residential feel.
The flexibility that we all grow accustomed to living with family, in our own homes, continues for residents when they move into Grace Manor. There is no set time when residents have to wake up, nor is there a scheduled time for meals, etc. Our all-day-dining program allows residents to eat when they are comfortable and on their own schedule. Their body clock does not have to make a sharp adjustment when moving in with us. Instead, they can continue to maintain the schedule they have come to enjoy through the years and that works for them. At Grace Manor, we understand that each resident is uniquely and wonderfully made.
