I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident
The facility has a smell of urine in the hallways. The costs are ridiculous. You pay $1525 per mos for help with dressing, escort to meals, showering (2 times a week) and giving medication. If you need a nebulizer be prepared to add an additional $250 per month for them to "administer" it. Also an additional $274 per month for compression knee high hose to be put on daily. As you can see the costs add up to quite a bit. Often times no one is available to assist with dressing etc as the staff seems to be over whelmed. If you need medication at nite there is no nurse on duty so none can be administered. You are told to wait until morning. Most of the time no one responds to the call button. Food is very average. Fresh fruit is seldom available. The only reason I gave it a 2(instead of a 0) is that the majority of the staff is very nice and seems to care about the resident. They need to hire additional staff to handle the current residents (who are paying for additional services). I do not feel the staff is to blame as they really seem to try but they are understaffed. Also, the food can really use improvement as it is not very good and lacks fresh vegetables, fruits etc. That is probably a budget problem not the fault of the staff. This facility is definitely not worth the price and Brookdale needs to really improve what this facility offers. If the resident is in a wheel chair their is no available transportation unless you hire an outside company (cost of $65 to transport) so the activities off site are not available if you are in a wheel chair.

I Am A Current/Past Resident
This facility is unclean, understaffed, and way over priced! The smell of urine greets you at the door; Residents sit in soiled garments for hours; Resident rooms are not properly cleaned; Most of the food is not good; lots of frozen pizza! Management does not care! There are far better choices that offer much greater value and service.
