I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident

My father has been in Vista Gardens Memory Care for almost a year now. The grounds are very nice. My father comments on how nice the place is and how nice the people are when we go and talk to him. The staff members are very nice and caring. They call everybody by name, both the residents as well as families. When they have concerns, they'll bring them to our attention. The rooms are nice, clean, and large. They have both shared and private rooms. They have daily activities, too. People come in to take them out to walk in the garden. They have special events, motorcycle club, car club with an antique car show, carnivals, and various activities for them to get involved in.

I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident

I moved my mother into this center recently and was honestly not impressed with the quality of care she was receiving. The caregivers seemed quite distant which unnerved me with how much I was trusting these people. Recently they hired a new executive director Toni Jackson whom has turned Vista Gardens completely around. A good amount of the staff was replaced and the new atmosphere of the place is soothing. The level of care is much higher now and above what I pay for; don't mistake this place for cheap but it provides an amazing quality of care for my dollar. Do not be discouraged by the location of it, it is not a pretty neighborhood but once you reach the grounds it is absolutely beautiful and clean. Light and dark comparison to the surrounding community. I was particularly surprised by a nurse by the name of Shannon who was like family for my mother and Rosario who is a great counselor and now friend of mine. She has been a great help in this hard time in my life comforting me and guiding me through it. Overall the new Vista Gardens is better than what I expected the first time I visited it and I am so glad we stayed here.
