I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident
December 10, 2014 My Mother was a resident of The Manse for three years. Previously before moving her to The Manse She had been in two other Care Facilities. Although her care at the other places had been somewhat Satisfactory, my Mother spent a lot of alone time. The atmosphere seemed cold and not personal at all. My Mother was treated almost like a visitor instead of being treated like a family member. Oft times she Would miss out on special activities because none of the care givers reminded her of the special events Taking place downstairs in the special room for activities. My Mother was in the beginning stages of Dementia, and her short term memory was fading rapidly. She needed to be reminded daily, sometimes Hourly of many things available to her such as special events, field trips, church services, etc. She also Needed to be escorted to the downstairs dinning room, and sometimes missed her meals. She also was Able to wander away from the facility, got lost, and once was trying to cross a very busy intersection, Fell in the middle of the street, and was severely injured, and taken to the hospital from her injuries. After This incident I knew I had to move her into a facility that would make sure she was safe and well cared for. My husband and I began to check out other facilities, and some were okay, but still not right for my Mother. Then we checked out The Manse. We made an appointment with the owner. When we arrived we were Very impressed with first of all, the electronic gate that screened every visitor before they were allowed in To The Manse. We were very impressed at just how beautiful The Manse and the property was. It reminded Me of a beautiful Colonial Mansion. And we were impressed because it was so safe and so private, yet so Easy to reach. We were met by Alicia Sanchez, the owner and operator, which was also comforting to us. After talking with Alicia we were given a tour of the beautiful residential rooms. They were very clean, very Light and cheerful. We were impressed by the big, beautiful living room where all the residents were seated Together like a family atmosphere. There was a big screen Television for everyone to watch together. The Dinning room was located right off the living room, which was so convenient for the residents to reach. The Out doors was green and beautiful too. The residents who were able, also had a place to garden . Also Every afternoon the activity director would get the residents involved with numerous activities. Church services Were held every Sunday which my Mother and all the other residents enjoyed so much. I loved knowing my precious Mother was safe and well cared for. She enjoyed the company of other residents, She enjoyed the food, the individual care, the loving family atmosphere. And throughout the year all the families were welcome anytime at The Manse. The families were also included in several different holiday activities. A Beautiful Christmas dinner was given , a lovely family outdoor barbecue was given, and entertainment was also Provided. I know I made the right choice for my precious Mother when we moved her to The Manse. I had a peace of Mind knowing my Mother was being well cared for every day she lived there. I would highly recommend The Manse to anyone who is looking for a clean, safe, loving and caring place for a parent or loved one who Can no longer live alone.

I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident
In a day and age when finding a senior care facility for a love one seems so daunting, it is with respect for the administration and most of all, care givers that I can say the Manse is wonderful. The facility is a large plantation style 'home' in a rural setting in the 'city' of Vista. It is older but clean, has a positive atmosphere and was the best find when we were desperately looking to place mother, she found her 'home' and has been there since August, 2012. Mother loves the food, loves the staff, she loves the crafts, BINGO, exercises, they have a podiatrist come once every two months, a beautician, they have singing, etc. But most importantly, the staff show her (and all residents) respect and give her loving care. We take mother to lunch once a week or doctor appointments and other than the ramblings of an Alzheimer's person, she has only good things to say about The Manse. The Manse has our heartfelt thanks and we would highly recommend them.

Description of The Manse
The spacious, tastefully furnished interiors of the Manse offer each resident the opportunity to enjoy every day to the fullest. A quiet library, television lounge, and an elegant living room with French doors that open onto the covered veranda are examples of the variety of areas that residents enjoy at their leisure.
For our Manse residents, we strive to provide an environment for rehabilitation that will enable them to handle changes in their elder years and encourage them to make the most of their own resources.
