I Visited This Facility
Standiford Place seemed nice and well-run, but also seemed older and kind of run-down. It could use some updating and a little more upkeep, and it's kind of in a bad neighborhood. The overall feel was kind of blah.

I Visited This Facility
We toured Standiford Place, and I thought we had a great tour. That was my favorite facility. We saw an apartment. It was larger than I expected, and there was a balcony. That was good. They have card games and side trips. We saw the dining room, it was great. Everybody looked happy and they were all smiling. We also saw the beauty salon.

My father is in Standiford Place. The facility is nice. The staff is nice. I've dealt with many of them. The dining area is clean. He pretty much stays in his room. They helped him move his things in. They have a pool table, a calendar with a bunch of activities, cards, Bingo, and crafts.

Standiford Place was nice and clean. They had a list of activities with more for men, but they looked good. They had a movie room, library, or media room, cafeteria, and it was very nice. I had a good meal there.

Standiford Place is OK, there's nothing for me to complain about. It's a decent place, it's nice and clean and they're taking good care of the place. My father-in-law is enjoying the activities. He goes down and listens to the music, he plays bean bag baseball and things like that because he's active. The dining area is nice.

I had lunch at Standiford several times. The food was really good and almost restaurant quality; they don't usually serve food in the room. The place is clean but a little expensive. When my friend moved in, she was a little bit depressed and a little suicidal at times. Her medication was changed, and she's doing really well now. She moved into an apartment and is one of the youngest residents. They have bingo, cards, and trips to the casino. They have movies, parking places for people who still drive cars, little indoor baseball games, entertainment that comes in once a week, exercises maybe a couple of days a week, and church service once a month. I really liked the activity director. The staff comes in and cleans once a week. It's a nice place. Everybody is friendly. It's a little expensive, but you probably couldn't find anything cheaper anywhere else.

Standiford Place is very nice and my mom chose it herself. She's in a 1-bedroom unit and she furnished it with her things. She loves the food and there's so many choices. I did water aerobics with a resident there. They have transportation to the grocery store, pharmacy, and doctors' appointments. They have music all the time, a beautician 5 times a week, and someone can do your laundry. The residents are very friendly.

We had lunch at Standiford Place. It was nice, and I enjoyed it. We almost decided on it for my mom, but she felt uncomfortable. The price was competitive, and it’s really close to our house.

I Visited This Community
I looked at Standiford Place for my mom. I was really impressed with the place, but my mom become too ill, so we had not moved her anywhere before she died. It's more of an independent living, but they allow services for assisted living. It’s a beautiful, fancy place. In fact, I wanted to live there myself. The people were very friendly. The tour went very well, and the staff was able to answer all of our questions.
