I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident
My mother was in St. Paul's Villa for two weeks of respite care. I would give it high marks all around including the care and the food. Everything was very good there. The food was good and had good portions for the population. Her respite room was very clean, nice, and a good size. They had daily exercise classes, Bunco, bingo, movie nights, and people who came in and sang. They always had something going on throughout the day. They had a library, a full-service dining room, a few different meeting rooms, and outside patios. They had a lot of activities.

I Visited This Community
Location, Location, Location.. St. Paul's Villa is located just blocks from museums, the San Diego Zoo, and the beautiful Pacific Ocean. This is an assisted living facility so many of the residents still drive and visit the Ocean with family. The facility is clean; however, the resident we were visiting was a friend of my family, and her room was not very tidy. She informed me that housekeeping isn't very frequent, and she is unable to clean much herself due to her arthritis. The food was fairly good, but it was hot. I had a spaghetti dinner and iced tea. The staff were friendly, but stern. One of the residents who was visiting our guest said that the staff really make her feel safe. If you like to stay busy and live near safe and family friendly activities, this is your place. I would choose this community myself if only to feel the breeze from the Pacific Ocean. The facility is priced moderately in comparison with most facilities of its type, but they do offer payment options.
