I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident

The Arbors is now Atria. My name is Debra a caring daughter of a resident who wrote a review before. I meant what I said in 2013 but now in 2018 with the change to Atria this facility has gone far down. The wonderful caregivers that work there are severely overworked each shift, dietary needs, while noted in the kitchen, are not srved to the residents unless it has to do with allergies. The family members are not required to do a lot more when it comes to planning for doctor's appointments and being in some specialized food. The facility looks beautiful but in my opinion my mom is not getting the amount of care she should be getting based on what she is paying. The activity program seems to be in flux , changing between Atria and Arbors expectations.

The personnel and the facilities at The Arbors at Rancho Penasquitos were nice. I was very impressed with them. The food looked great. They had a dietitian and they're willing to work with my relatives as far as their special dietary needs. They had a dedicated van for local trips to Bingo, shopping, and entertainment.

Nice facility within walking distance of IHOP and a few other shops. The Arbors is moderately sized, the staffed seemed to be engaged with the residents. The residents were laughing and talking with one another, and a few of the residents have pets. The staff and residents appear to know one another well and have established a family relationship. The apartments are quaint and comfortable. However, the apartments are a not very modern, but they are cozy. There seems to be a lot of communication at this facility. So, for seniors who do not like that type of environment, I would choose another location. The Activity Director is awesome, and there is always something to do. Above average staff, activities, and meals.

Lynn local professional The staff here really know their residents. I can ask anyone a question about a resident I am caring for and all the staff memebers are helpful. Activities seem to be always going on. The food is outstanding, Carol is an amazing chef. Many of the caregivers have been here for many years, Consistency of staff promotes better care. The professional staff is very knowledgable and proactive in their care. The facility has a large welcoming entry where many residents like to observe the day to day activities. There is a very charming and garden area that is enoyed by reisents and families alike.

This is the best Senior Care facility I have ever seen. I'm a retired navy officer and kind of used to things being done the right way. The Arbors does it right! It starts with the staff - great people who care about the people living here. Everyone is helpful and attentive, especially the Director Tiffany. I really don't have any complaints. You might be able to spend more, but you won't get any better care than here at the Arbors.

The Arbors is home to my mother and my family. She has been living at the Arbors over a year and a half and I have peace of mind in that she always receives superb care. Tiffany, the Executive Director is in the right job. I cannot say enough about her wonderful personality, her professionalism and her leadership. Every aspect of the Arbors is unsurpassed: from the doctor who gives her exceptional care, the cleanliness of the facility, the dining options, to the unending activities and social parties. The Arbors does it right!

My father moved into The Arbors 6 months ago. The staff and residents made him feel welcome from day one. He has had no transitional issues and has adjusted well to the very diversified schedule of services and activities provided. Selecting an assisted living facility was a very personal and emotional one for us both. The quality of care is the utmost important to me as my father has special needs with regard to his declining memory. The Arbors staff is kind, gentle and respectful; all the while making sure he feels included and reminded to attend the activities available to him throughout the day. Who knew at age 82 that my dad would begin to play bingo and enjoy his outings with the "lunch bunch" on Wednesdays. I would suggest coming to The Arbors if you have a loved one that is in need of some assistance and can no longer live on their own. The community activities are amazing and families are invited to participate and attend throughout each month. There is always something great happening at The Arbors. This inclusive environment never leaves you feeling left out, it makes you feel like moving in.

I didn't rate all the above sections a 5 out of 5 because I was lazy. I honestly feel that The Arbors ranks at the top of all categories. My mom has been there for 5 months now, and loves it. She keeps telling me how nice the staff is. And I see it every time I visit. I could never offer my mom all the stimulation, activities and friendships that she gets at The Arbors.

The Arbors in Rancho Penasquitos is a lower cost senior community. Transformed from a former hotel into a senior community that also offers memory care, it is a lower cost alternative then many of the surrounding senior living options. The staff has always been warm and friendly and the people at the community appear to be well treated, serviced, and supported. Given their limited space, the managers and staff come up with creative ways to keep the seniors active and fulfill their days.

The Activity Director is extremely creative and considers the abilities of all residents when choosing activities for each month. She truly cares about each resident as evident by her constant smile and willingness to make sure she finds them to participate in activities she knows they would enjoy. The Executive Director is always available to residents and their families to help solve any problem or issues that may arise. She is friendly and an all around good person. The Marketing Director is a friendly very helpful person. Always willing to lend a hand where needed when she has a free moment. The moment you walk in to The Arbors you can tell that the Managers and all other staff work together like a family. They care about each other and the residents. The residents care about each other as well. It is truly a great place to live.
