I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident
The Garnet is a comfortable, homey facility. The hallways are bright and airy, lined with large paintings. The facility is located on spacious grounds, near the City Hall. My parents resided there for 16 months. Daughters live in CA, OH, and FL so it was important to us that sufficient care be provided. My father, until his health failed, was able to provide a fair amount of care for my mother, who suffered from dementia and physical instability. When Dad was no longer able to help with care and he ultimately passed, care for Mom became problematic because of of the shortage of staff. The staff on duty, however, were very caring and as helpful as they could be given staffing limitations. Mom could not remain at the facility on her own under the existing staffing conditions. For residents who more independent I believe the facility is an excellent choice.

Thank you so much for your time giving us your feedback regarding your parents stay here at The Garnet. As the Executive Director, I speak for our entire staff when I say we were glad to hear that you found our staff caring and compassionate. It takes special people to care for others and I believe here at The Garnet we truly do have great staff. I would appreciate the opportunity to connect directly to learn more about your input regarding our staffing based on your time with us. Please feel free to reach out to me at our community number; simply ask to speak with Tammy. Again, thank you again for your time; Tammy Nash, Executive Director.

I Visited This Community
I think the garnet is a lovely place! It is spacious yet homey. My father has alzheimers and was amazed and delighted with all the services and polite staff during the tour. He wished very much to be part of this community, but as a result of their "assesment" the nurses found him unfit due to some unclear circumstances. I feel that the Garnet would be ideal for many of our beloved elders, but have all your medical info ready and be extremely clear on the diagnoses as these nurses are NOT professional.

Thank you for your feedback. To start we are pleased to read that your father enjoyed his visit to Garnet at Casa Grande. That said, we are disappointed to learn that the assessment process was not more favorable. As you can imagine it is very important that our nurses conduct an accurate assessment of one’s clinical needs to ensure that we can deliver quality care. Unfortunately due to the state regulations for assisted living we are unable to care for certain individuals. As this can be such a stressful time for families it is critical that our nursing staff properly communicates this message. Again, we are sorry to learn that you did not have a better experience and would welcome you to call Tammy Nash, Executive Director, to further explain what we could do differently going forward.
