I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident
The facility and it's staff are great to work with and are very helpful when dealing with their residents. In many cases they will go out of their way to help. However, the area where independent living residents are located do not have good access to the main dining room. The must walk a great distance, which in the case of my relatives, a block to far because of physical disabilities. The meals offered in the nearby annex dining facility, which I have sampled, is generally not very good. Meals and coffee are sometimes cold. Seemingly the food in this dining room is from the main dining room. But, because the meal was prepared for the main dinning room, the main course is already gone at meal time for the annex dinning room. The activities could be improved upon. I cannot expand on this statement, only that my own relatives travel to other facilities to enjoy activities not provided by the care home.

I Visited This Community
Facility/Quality of Care: Immanuel Campus of Care is a Watermark community which is a senior living corporation that I have always admired and respected. There are 5 levels of care offered at Immanuel – Independent Living, Assisted Living, 2 levels of Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing. If I were searching for a senior living community for a loved one, I would absolutely consider a community like this with so many levels of care. For one reason, because as a resident ages, becomes frailer, becomes sick, or needs post-operation/rehabilitation care, then a community like Immanuel can accommodate their needs for the most part. In an Independent Living or Assisted Living community, the resident in many cases have to leave their home (yet again) to transfer to a facility that is better equipped to meet their needs. At Immanuel, the resident can, in most cases, stay put and allow the appropriate care to come to them – not the other way around! One thing I would be cautious about, however, when choosing a multi-level care community is that the staff members are trained to meet the specific care levels – for example, Skilled Nursing residents have different care needs than residents in Memory Care, who have different care needs than Assisted Living residents, who in turn, have different care needs than residents in Independent Living and it is critically important that the staff members in each care level be trained in how to best accommodate those specific care needs. Thankfully, at Immanuel Campus of Care, a great deal of time and effort goes into employee training programs and they take great care in keeping their training, certifications, etc. up to date. The services and amenities offered create a life of ease and convenience for the residents. There is a country store where residents can pick up a variety of items. There is also a very well-equipped salon, laundry services, private mailboxes and much more. Residents: The residents at Immanuel are so fun to spend time with. For the most part, they love to stay active and participate in the happenings of the community. The residents really get along well and they really appear to be very supportive of one another. They really have formed very close friendships and positive relationships. They always appear to be very well cared for and they seem to be thoroughly satisfied with their home at Immanuel. Activities: It’s a Watermark community, so with it comes the exceptional list of services, amenities, and fun & creative activities. The creativity put into all of the activities, special events, field trips/outings, live entertainment, celebrations, and more is outstanding. You can tell that they put a lot of time and thought into offering the residents activities and participatory events that will accommodate all types of personalities and tastes. They offer a lot of space for the residents to participate in activities. There is an art studio, game room, fitness center, and much more. I really recommend that families check out Immanuel Campus of Care, you really can’t go wrong!
