Though we're located in a quiet, residential area, set back from the road and on a 3.5 acre wildlife habit preserve with beautiful walking trails and gardens, we're conveniently located near shops and amenities and just a short distance from the theater as well as Sacred Heart and Fairfield Universities.

I visited this facility
Middlebrook Farms at Trumbull is older and more private and secluded because it is off the street. It has a small cafeteria, a small lunchroom, and a place where you can have haircuts. The staff was very helpful and showed me everything.

I visited this facility
Initially, when I got to Middlebrook Farms at Trumbull, I was not that impressed with the outside, but the inside is lovely -- very beautiful. We were looking at a one-bedroom apartment; it was very nice. They're not huge, but it's nice. The person who took me on the tour did a great job. She was very kind, very informative, and very helpful. She gave me any online information that I needed to help my dad figure out how to make it work financially. I did not try eating there, but the menu looked very good, and everyone looked happy. I saw a list of all the activities. It seems like there were at least seven a day that were going on, but I didn't observe one.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
Mom lived at Middlebrook Farms for about a year. The building was well-kept, clean, the meals were good, and the staff had good attitudes. However, she had two falls while she was there. She was very unhappy, she stopped eating, and lost interest in everything. She just sat in her wheelchair, lost her ability to walk, and nobody got to walk her. They lacked caring for my mom. I think they're overpriced.
