Situated in the shadows of the majestic Rocky Mountains, Sunrise of Westminster is an inviting senior community dedicated to serving assisted living, memory care and hospice residents with excellence and compassion.
Conveniently located east of Highway 36, our community is minutes from Boulder to the north and Metro Denver to the south. This uniquely designed one-story, cottage-style community allows all residents - especially those using walkers and wheelchairs - to enjoy a spacious and open environment with easy access to our apartments and common areas.
Sunrise of Westminster is a part of the family of communities owned and managed by Sunrise Senior Living. Founded by Paul and Terry Klaassen in 1981, they started with a simple vision - to create senior living that champions quality of life for all seniors.
The Sunrise of Westminster community offers a warm and cozy atmosphere in which residents, family members and guests all take delight. Our homelike accommodations are available in a choice of private or shared suites. All suites come standard with full bathrooms and emergency call systems.
Residents have access to many comfortable lounge areas in which to socialize and relax. They can be found chatting by the large stone fireplace in our living room, playing a game of bridge in the sunroom or taking an afternoon tea break with friends in our bistro. We offer many safe outdoor spaces to walk, relax in or simply enjoy the stunning sunset from the comfort of our porch.
We offer a range of care and services personally tailored to the changing needs of our individual residents. Our caring staff is available 24 hours a day to help with a variety of daily living tasks, including bathing, dressing and medication.
Our Alzheimer's and memory care services offer innovative and effective programs that provide multiple levels of support and include daily discussions, stimulating games and reminiscing. We partner with different hospices to provide compassionate end-of-life care.

Sunrise of Westminster looked too much like a hospital so I didn't care for it. The staff members who assisted us were great, they answered all the questions and everything. The place itself was clean.
I toured Sunrise of Westminster. The rooms were nice. They had a companion room. We were looking at respite care at the time and it would've been a 30-day program. The rooms were fully furnished and they shared a kitchen and a bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was more like a homey feel.
I visited Sunrise, and it was fine, but the location was too far away. It was luxurious and nice, and they have horses across the street. The staff was fine, informative, but she was busy when I got there. However, my dad needed a lockdown facility, which they didn't have.
Sunrise of Westminster had different buildings that were all spread out. We made an appointment, but we had to wait for the person who was going to assist us. It wasn't nearly as pleasant as the other place we visited because it reminded me more of a nursing home.
