My mom is at Lakewood Estates, and it's a very bright and very open place. It has a lot of positive energy, and they have a fantastic staff. They have a big beauty salon, religious services to choose from, a small exercise area, an arts-and-crafts area, pool tables, and theater rooms. It has a lot of amenities and social avenues. It's homey, and I think they do a very good job at trying to keep it comfortable.

Lakewood Estates is a beautiful place. They're very receptive too as we were warmly welcomed. The rooms were all very good. The staff members were excellent. The atmosphere was very good, very inviting and very friendly. The place itself was well laid-out.

I visited Lakewood Estates. The place was good. They offer a standard package. They offer room cleaning and some assistance to a degree with medication application. They also provide transportation for shopping. They did not offer other levels of care themselves. However, if you want to hire a third party to come in and do some of those things, you can do that. The staff was very energetic and congenial.

Lakewood Estates is an attractive place. We liked the inside, outside, and the size. It had about 100 rooms. Everybody was really friendly, and it was very pretty. They had a studio, which was what my dad wanted, and it was in a good location in the building. The person in charge, Chris, was really nice and helpful. When we visited, they had a special slideshow for the residents, which was really cute.

I visited Lakewood Estates. The staff members were nice and thorough. The apartments were pretty nice. The kitchens were non-existent, and that was my only issue with it because my mom likes to cook. They showed me an exercise room, a community meeting room, a library, a church, and a cafeteria. I did not eat there, but the menu looked good. The facility looked nice, clean, and maintained.

I toured Lakewood Estates independent living. A part of it is really old-looking and run-down. It was more of an assisted living center and I was looking for total independence and not the kind of tied-down feeling. One of the things I did not like was they expect you to take all your meals in the dining area. The rooms were okay, but a bit small, and the kitchenette area was also really small. It felt a bit confining. I had a meal there and the food was really good. I chatted with several of their ladies on a tabletop for four and they were very positive.

Mom is in Lakewood Estates. It seems like the building is older, but it's very nice. I like it because it's smaller and everything comes back to the middle. Somebody couldn't get lost because you go down to the end of the hall, turnaround, and come back. I like that, and I absolutely love Kelly who's the salesperson there. She's an absolute delight. She totally sold us with how she handled my mom. She's great. Everything is included in the cost, like the food, and they have people on-site if you want to use them for pill management and that kind of stuff, but you can also use somebody else. Everybody that I've met there is just great. There's a nice little outside, and she has a tiny little deck. I just liked everything about it. She goes downstairs for meals and activities.

Lakewood Estates is on the older side but it's a nice facility and in good condition. There are some issues with view in the rooms since the place is not that high. They had pretty much the same types of places the other places had like exercise, library and entertainment place for watching movies. They also had a place for games, a pool table and lots of tables for chess and board games. The units themselves were a little dated but decent. They had a kitchenette but no stove. They also had a refrigerator, sink and countertop. They provide three meals a day and they were on the expensive side.

I like Lakewood Estates, but the problem is the cost. What I like about them is their location, and we love the community and this is where we want to live. I saw their rooms, but that was the drawback. It was not to our liking because it was too small. The activities that they have are excellent.

The lady that showed me around Lakewood Estates was very nice and gave me a thorough tour. The apartment that I saw was lacking kitchen facilities, the refrigerator was tiny, and there was no cooktop nor microwave. The other issue was if I didn't like anything -- like if I wanted the bathroom painted blue -- I have to do it myself. I feel that the community should be doing it. They had activities in the gathering room and somebody comes in from outside to perform regularly. They had a nice library, it looked cozy. The place was recently done and the decor in the common area was nice. The community is old, but it fits in with the neighborhood.

I visited Lakewood Estates, but the place was tiny and rundown. The people were nice, but residents looked old and fragile. The staff was friendly.

I didn't like Lakewood Estates. It was very old and rundown. The person who showed me around wasn't too friendly too. It had a lot of old people, and I'm not interested in living like that. I didn't observe any activities. They have no swimming pool. They have a very small and limited recreation center with a couple of machines, but that's about it. They need to remodel the whole place.
