The director at Springbrooke was lovely, I really liked her, and she was so enthusiastic. The place seemed dark, old, and some of the doors and things didn't work. It didn't have as many opportunities for socializing, the dining area was newly remodeled, and so it was lovely.
Thank you Melissa for taking the time to share your thoughts and opinions about our community, I'm so glad you were able to meet our Director and we are so pleased to hear you like our newly renovated dining room. The building was built in 1987, however, Springbrooke underwent major renovations totaling upwards of 4.5 million dollars in 2009. This year, Springbrooke is updating the common areas and each individual apartment with new cabinetry, granite counter tops and new appliances.
Everything at Springbrooke Retirement & Assisted Living was okay, but the bedrooms were really small. The staff seemed alright, but I didn't care for the layout of the rooms. It seemed clean and it had a nice courtyard, but I was not really impressed with it. It was a pretty quick walkthrough. They were having some musical entertainment when I was there.
We've chosen Springbrooke partly because of the cost. It had an aviary inside that my aunt would like. They also take their residents out on their bus on little sightseeing trips, so they're not just cooped up all the time, which I really liked as well.
