I Visited This Facility
I toured Atria Valley View. The studio apartment that we were shown was very small, other than that, it seemed to be OK, and the studio rooms were acceptable. The amenities are average, they have a library, a dining room, a café, outside areas, and an auditorium where they show the movies and other entertainment. They also mentioned field trips, interest clubs, and I think bingo is a big thing
I Visited This Community
Atria Valley View, a community of independent and assisted living, is tucked away in south Walnut Creek in a very quiet area. There are 126 apartments, that have either a shared patio or balcony with an adjoining apartment. They have a nice movie theatre, full service salon and massage room, fitness center, as well as a sundries store, where residents can buy anything from shampoo to snacks. When a new resident moves in, they throw a party to welcome them to the community, which is very nice and welcoming. They also have a WiFi lounge, are pet friendly (no fee), and have a Friday happy hour, as well as the option of beer or wine with dinner. They also cover many of the costs of their outside excursions--the first this reviewer has seen. In addition, right next door is a rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility, should a resident need. The only drawback is that they do not offer any memory care services. This is a wonderful facility that I would highly recommend!

I Visited This Community
This community is built into a beautiful tree covered hillside in Walnut Creek just a few minutes from John Muir Outpatient Center. The community was recently remodeled to resemble a Mission style lodge so it looks like a vacation resort as you pull into the driveway. There can be a challenge to find a parking place, so be prepared to park and walk a good distance if you are visiting. This community offers so many wonderful activities to keep their residents healthy and happy including outdoor dining space, an outdoor fireplace, walking paths, and a large movie theater just to name a few. The staff are experienced and professional and really go out of there way to make the residents feel a home. While I was there, some of the residents were on their way out to an excursion which they were excited about and the staff was very helpful in loading them on the shuttle. I had lunch while I was there and the food was excellent with many tasty options available. The Marketing staff were very helpful and informative and called me after my visit to make sure that I had all of my questions answered.
