For those who are ready to let go of daily chores and embrace an unencumbered life, we provide gracious independent and assisted living, minutes from downtown. Our picturesque campus has air of a lush botanical garden with vibrant lawns, mature pines, redwoods and numerous beautiful plants.
Managed by Front Porch, we are part of a family of nonprofit senior communities dedicated to responding to the changing needs of our residents. Or goal is not to simply create services, but to listen to you, creating experiences that are meaningful to you all while meeting you specific needs.

Life at Vista del Monte is all about choice. With a wealth of welcoming common areas, there is so much to do. Those who are inspired by fitness can enjoy water aerobics in our pool, warm up with a partner on our tennis courts or for a more relaxing time grab a cup of coffee and sit down with a good book in our cozy library. We offer a choice of spacious living accommodations, including studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments.
Here you will have the time and opportunity to engage in lifelong passions such as learning a new language or auditing a course at one of many nearby colleges. We also host a variety of diverse and interesting activities and clubs that reflect our residents’ interests.
Available Services
Vista del Monte takes care of the basics, like meals and housekeeping freeing you to do what you want. However, our executive chef and expert culinary team prepare nothing that is “basic,” and offer as many as eight entrée choices each day.
Care is available when you need it for those in need of assisted living. We are devoted to your wellbeing and will listen to your story, crafting a care plan to assist with activities of daily living, like dressing, bathing and transportation. If you need rehabilitative care or skilled nursing, our care center is there to support you as well. Additionally, our Summer House Memory Care offers a comfortable supportive home for residents who suffer from Alzheimer’s or other dementias.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
My uncle lives in Vista del Monte, and I often visit him. It's strikingly beautiful and has been there 40 years. The landscaping is well established, well-maintained, and has great community involvement. They have top-rate quality meals. It's very large with a big, open space of lovely gardens and trees, and It seems to have plenty of staff to take care of the grounds. It costs an arm and a leg, but he's getting his nickel for it.
