Mistywood is only independent living. The overall vibe there, like the staff members, were really positive. The woman who showed us around there was such a sweetheart. I liked how she interacted with my grandmother and other people who live there. She gave a really good impression. My overall impression is that they were really welcoming. They did a few specific things to welcome us. The apartments were pretty nice, and they had little balconies, which was also nice. There were some people playing cards and some were playing a game. I really liked that the residents were interacting in those common spaces. Their amenities were the same as those in other places for the most part.
Mistywood was very friendly and open. I got a lot of information from them. The staff who showed me around was very nice and competent. I really enjoyed the tour. I had lunch in the dining room and I had a nice long conversation with Julie about some of the details that are in the brochure. The dining room was pretty good size. I was seated with some pretty friendly people. Their impression of the place was pretty positive. The server was very nice about bringing one of the women an alternative choice because she didn't like what was being served. I was interested in their library which seemed pretty adequate. The inside was very nice.
The staff at Mistywood showed me around the grounds, all the different floors, and the different style of rooms. She was very forthcoming with what the prices were and what they included. The only thing I wasn't real happy about was that they do not have a kitchen. They have a very small kitchenette, which only consists of a microwave and a sink. I would prefer having at least a stove and a small oven. They have a whole bunch of different activities. I get calls from them all the time about coming in and partaking in some of the things that they have. They're a little expensive. To even get put on the waiting list, it cost me $1,000, and I've been on two other wait lists that didn't cost me anything. It's a very nice facility.
Mistywood has nice apartments, friendly and caring staff, and good meals. It's very beautiful and very easy to get to Roseville. The grounds are nice with beautiful plants and an outside area that they just redid that's very nice with chairs and a barbecue if your family wants to come. My mother's room has a brand-new carpet and a patio, is bright, easily accessible, and has lots of closet space. You bring your own furniture, and you can hang anything on the walls but you have to do it. They have movies, exercise, outings, and provide transportation to doctors' appointments and shopping. The kitchenette is very small in the apartment, but they provide all the meals. They have a lot of activities and bring in people who play music a lot.
I liked Mistywood very much. It was nice, but the price was too much for me. The place was warm-looking and clean. The people seemed to be happy and content. The rooms are very nice and the furniture made it look really warm and happy. I loved the rooms and the way they were set up. The food was really warm and tasty. I didnt have any complaints. The staff was excellent, wonderful, pleasant, and patient. The lady who took me around was very nice and kind. The place was pleasant-looking outside too.
My dad has moved into the Mistywood. It was my dad's choice. The price was the reason why he picked it because it was within his budget; all the other ones were too expensive. Mistywood is good. The people and the staff are very nice. My dad hasn't been there long enough to say really how good it is, but he loves it there so far. They have Wii bowling, Wii baseball, they walk a lot, and they take small trips. They have a pool table, a library room, and a TV room. Anything you want, it's there. My dad's room has a small kitchenette but no stove. Nevertheless, they feed them three times a day and the snacks bar is always open.
Mistywood's apartments are very nice. The staff is very courteous and nice. They have quite a few activities. The dining area is very clean and nice. The outside area is very nice too.
Mistywood was very nice. The rooms were larger than average. The facility has been renovated, but it's an older facility. The rooms were acceptable. The food was the best of anywhere we looked at. They had a gym, which was adequate, and a library.
Mistywood's rooms were very pleasant, clean, modern, and well-kept. I was told that somebody would come in and the change sheets, and that they had closet space. They have everything and the residents were being entertained by a puppeteer during Family Day ( which is when I had my visit). The place looked really nice. The staff was friendly, courteous, and polite. The only drawback was the rental, which was $2,900 a month -- way over my budget.
Mistywood was very nice, but the apartments were too small. The people were very nice and excellent. None of the apartments had a washer and dryer.
Mistywood is nice and well kept. The people are really friendly. I was very impressed with the rooms. The rooms and interior were well-kept. The dining room was clean and didn't have any odors. They had exercise, games, and craft rooms. I liked the location and the environment of the home itself.
I got a very good tour at Mistywood. Everything was great, and everyone was nice. I was impressed. The thing that I liked most was the location.
Solid facility with a very friendly staff who makes sure you are taken care of. Awesome food and the community is constantly participating in events which pay tribute to its residents. Very nice atmosphere.
