I Am/Was A Resident Of This Facility

Bay Park is great. My apartment is very clean. They come every week and clean it. It's good food that may not appeal to everybody, but I can always find something to eat. I play bingo. They also have trivia games, Bible study, and bean bag baseball. The staff members are good, pleasant people.

Bay Park was by far the best place of those we've visited. They were very nice and welcoming, and my sister is having a fabulous time there. It's great, and everybody has been wonderful. She's in independent living, but they also have support on-site if you need it. It offers the best of both worlds. The food is excellent and she's very pleased. It's a big factor.

Bay Park was a very nice place and the manager was very nice. We had lunch there and it was very nice. The only thing that I had against it is that they didn't have kitchens, but they did have a sink and a refrigerator. I don't remember if they had a microwave or not, but that was the thing that really got me. People are used to having their own kitchens regardless of if they're going down for dinner. They should be able to choose to go down or not go down, but I really liked it. I would've liked to consider going there, but the fact that it didn't have a kitchen just stopped me. The amenities were great. They had all the amenities that one would be happy with and I was happy with them. They had the wash area that you could use. I got the chance to see one of the rooms. The rooms were very nice and bright and had balconies. It was just a really nice place. They had transportation for the residents and they seemed to accommodate the residents in whatever they needed. The food was delicious. They did their best. They had a choice of what they wanted to eat. It was very good. The staff was very accommodating and very good and addressed whatever you wanted.

I visited only one place, which was Bay Park. Everything about it, in my opinion, was very nice, and everything I would need was there. I enjoyed it very much. The rooms were spacious compared to some places, and I could get most of my furniture in there. It was on a very busy street, and you'd have to be very careful because the traffic moves very fast. We had a very good lunch. They had a library and quite a few amenities and activities to get involved in, if you wanted to.

I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident

My father is in Bay Park. It has been really good for my dad since he's made a lot friends. It is an independent living and the perfect level of care for him because he can still be pretty independent, but it gives the family a lot of security knowing that there is 24-hour staff set up for people with disabilities. They look out for him if does not come for dinner or something. I think it is the perfect environment for someone with his level of difficulty where he can still be independent; he can come and go if he pleases, but all the meals are provided and he has the community and security. The food is good. I eat there a couple of times a month with him, and I am really impressed with the food. I think it is really good quality. They have fresh vegetables with their salads, and the meals are well balanced and fresh. If he does not want to eat any of the food, they are accommodating to that. He likes movies a lot and every night or in the evening, they show a movie in the living room. They make popcorn, and he really enjoys that. They have really good activities. My dad is a published author and asks that if he can do a reading of one of his books to the community, and they have scheduled that. That was really so great for him to have that opportunity to share his book with the community. If you live in the community and you are an artist, they feature things about them. They really show a lot of respect for the people who live there who have had careers and done a lot in their lives. They really honor them and give them a chance to share that with the rest of the people living there. I think it is really great. My only complaint, honestly, is that it is expensive. I feel like it is really high quality, but I feel like for what we are paying, it had better be.

My experience with Bay Park was excellent. Once we visited, it was very quick and easy to do all the documents and arrange to move in. My mom's room is very nice. It was the nicest one we saw and is kept very clean. Meals are served on time every day, and my mom enjoys the food.

I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident

Right now, I’m in an independent retirement facility in Pinole called Bay Park. It’s warm enough, and we see a movie three or four times a week, which is a big deal for me because I still love cinema. There are about 100 residents here. The staff is awesome and wonderful. I tend to avoid the activities, but they have bingo and computer bowling and all sorts of activities. When I first moved in here, I said to just give me a closet and I would be very happy. The room I’m in is much bigger than what I need.

I Visited This Community

The people at Bay Park were very knowledgeable and phenomenal. All of the people I met there, not just the staff but also the residents, seemed very nice. They were willing to work with me to a certain extent, but the rent was a lot more than what I wanted to pay. They had beautiful apartments, and the dining room was very nice. If I was living in the community and spending time there and taking whole advantage of all the stuff that they had to offer, I think it’s great value. I’d recommend it for somebody who is looking for a place to retire to because there is a lot that they could do.
