I was very happy with Cottonwood Court. They did a great job and took good care of my mom. I was very pleased with them. I'd pick them again in a minute if I had a choice. My mom and dad need to be together, but they can't be together at Cottonwood.
We moved my mom into Cottonwood Court. I think they're doing a good job at this point. They seem to be very caring. The nursing staff has been quite cooperative with anything that needs to be done, and they call if there's a problem. Their executive director keeps things moving quite well. The place is clean, neat, very airy, and comfortable. The food looks great. I haven't eaten there but my mother is satisfied with it. When I talked to her this morning, she was heading to an activity. She is not a bingo player, but they seem to play bingo quite a bit. She plays the piano, so she is able to use their piano. They have a card activity, a beautiful art room, and a sunroom, which is bright and cheery with lots of widows and chairs. The sunroom is just a step away from her apartment. They do puzzles and read there. Cottonwood Court is a very nice community. At this point, we are pleased. My mom's apartment has a small porch with a nice view. It has a lot of greenery around it. It is very nice, bright, and cheery. There's lots of storage. With the twin bed in the room, it has given her more room around her walker and/or wheelchair. She has a six-foot-long couch, one of those laidback chairs, and another small chair. You don't feel crowded. The bathroom facility is excellent. They have benches in the shower and lots of handrails. It is fairly roomy, too. It is adequate for someone whose ability is limited. The kitchen, which is really not needed, has adequate space if she were to want something. The refrigerator is waist-high; she doesn't have to bend down for that. The cost is cheaper than some of the others.
Cottonwood is a regular assisted living. It’s pleasant because the employees were very friendly, and the place itself is light and cheerful with lots of windows. The rooms are very small just the way they are, just what you would expect. They don’t have a pool, but they did have a room that they use as a chapel.
