The Springs of Escondido's food is very good, but it's difficult getting used to the way they serve because it's pretty regimental. You have to come for the meals at 8:12 and 5:00, and they have a certain pattern for serving. The staff has been very nice. However, they're not all that accommodating with transportation. They schedule trips on Sunday mornings, which does not allow for anyone to get transportation to church. I like my 1-bedroom apartment very much. I have sliding glass doors with a balcony, and it has lots of covered space, which is very nice. It's a much more livable apartment than where I was. They provide a system where you have a pendant, and if you have a problem, you can press it and they will find out what your problem is. In general, the staff has been good. There are two elevators, but they're small. I'm on the third floor, and one of the elevator is right on the other side of the building from where I live.
We lived at The Springs of Escondido and they had a few activities. There was a card group, a games group, and Bingo. However, we did the activities by ourselves because we didn't have an activity person in charge. It was just the way they did it. They oversaw activities from the office. There were two couples that were staff members that lived there, so when one couple wasn't available, the other was. They also had a chef who was unbelievable. He was very good.
We had a positive tour of Springs of Escondido. The rooms looked pretty roomy, and they had a lot of activities. We were not able to eat there, but they do provide meals. Their dining area looked spotless, and their menu looked good. I met few of the staff who seemed very friendly and caring. They had bus trips to various place. I looked at their calendar, and they had games and a lot of things going on. I would definitely recommend this place.
The dining area at The Springs of Escondido wasn’t open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.; they have scheduled meal times. The rooms were fine. The manager was quite courteous. Overall, I was pleased with what I saw.
The Springs of Escondido was a good, nice-looking facility with a fine staff and nice rooms. I would definitely recommend this facility because it was very clean and smelled good. The whole facility was beautiful, very quiet, and well kept.
My grandparents live at the Springs, they have been there for a year now. They have made some great friends but more than that they are taken care of the staff is awesome Anthony and Deniese have assisted us many times with grandma. Kathy always ensures they participate in activities. They make it so nice for families to come visit and enjoy a meal with them Carla and Dave always makes sure you have coffee the staff cares and that makes a world of difference.
The Springs of Escondido is a great place to live. Our apartments are large and very comfortable. The managers and activity director take the time to get to know us and truly care about us.The food is well prepared and delicious. Our chefs prepare three meals every day. We have a choice of ordering what's on the menu, the alternate, salad of the day, deli delight, regional favorite or the fruit and yogurt plate. Every meal I've had to eat has been delicious and healthy. Our servers and housekeepers work very hard to take care of us and do a great job. Our fellow residents are very considerate, kind, nice people. Our fantastic activity director takes us on great trips, plays fun games and leads us in exercise classes.
