Description of Silverado Encinitas
Nestled in the heart of Encinitas just off I-5 and minutes from the Pacific Coast, Silverado Encinitas is a unique memory care community for seniors facing the challenges of Alzheimer's and dementia. Our location in North County is close to parks, hospitals, mass transit, downtown Encinitas and adjacent to the San Diego Botanic Garden.
The skilled, compassionate memory care professionals at Silverado are dedicated to providing residents with the dignity and care they deserve while they enjoy the community's warm atmosphere. Comfortable surroundings and engagement activities designed with the needs of memory-impaired individuals in mind help ensure the goal of enriching the lives of both residents and their families.
Silverado Encinitas was designed for retirement living with all the amenities seniors want. Our well-appointed community is home to an outdoor swimming pool, on-site putting green, children's playground, formal dining room and sunny atrium. We also schedule a full calendar of fun daily activities including flower arranging, woodworking, cooking, scrapbooking and much more.
As one of the very first providers in the senior living industry to recognize the positive impact of pets improving the lives of the elderly, Silverado Senior Living welcomes pets at each and every one of our communities. Residents are encouraged to bring along their own beloved companions or share in the care of one of our resident house pets, which includes two miniature horses with a corral.
Dedicated to hiring and retaining quality staff, we allow employees at Silverado Encinitas to bring their children to work with them. Children's laughter is a common sound at our community, and we've found that the presence of children has had a positive impact on the lives of our elderly residents and their caregivers.
We also believe that family support is critical to providing the best memory care, and we offer a variety of family-oriented services. From monthly support groups to respite care to a full-time Social Worker available on site, we are here to help you and your elderly loved ones through this challenging period.
Your satisfaction is important to us at Silverado Encinitas. We pledge to refund all fees within the first 60 days of move in and help you find a new home should you be unhappy with life at our community.

I visit my spouse every other day at Silverado Encinitas Memory Care Community. They provide good care. It’s a pleasant setting, and I enjoy going there. They have lots of activities, trips, and animals. The dining rooms are real sunny, and they’re redecorating. The staff, even the janitors, are really nice, helpful, have a lot of personality, and talk to him a lot. I like that they have support meetings for spouses and relatives. They have two meetings a month with a social worker who's very helpful. It’s expensive, and they could get more showers.

The staff from Silverado Encinitas was very welcoming. The lobby felt very homey. There were dogs sitting on the chairs and was like if I were to walk into my own home to be greeted by a puppy in the chair. There was a cat walking down the hallway, birds in cages, and a turtle in a cage. It’s a big facility with a swimming pool. My husband would be on the second floor. They have a no-lock door policy, so wherever he goes around the facility, he won’t be bumping into a locked door, except if he decides to go to the front door, which would be locked. They have specific activities that are research-based and designed to help, not improve, but at least maintain the memory ability of residents. They have a lot of options and social activities. Like next week, we’re going to go to a happy hour called "yappy hour" because your family can come and you can bring your dog. You can come anytime you want to to visit a person that’s there and eat with them at anytime because there’s no charge for the meal for you, which was a nice feature. They had a specific person in charge of all the activities to make sure that they are getting the most out of what they can do.
