Description of Valley Crest Memory Care
Valley Crest Residential Care provides expert care services that individuals with Alzheimer's or memory care may require in a setting that creates a sense of home. Our community is just minutes away from local amenities, attractions and Saint Mary Medical Center. We are staffed 24 hours a day by skilled individuals who provide compassionate care services.
Valley Crest Residential Care is managed by Northstar Senior Living. A company dedicated to providing a superior senior living experience for our residents and their families, Northstar manages a number of senior communities across the United States.
Featured Amenities
Throughout the year, fun and exciting events are held both on and off-site, which includes fishing trips, scenic drives and community-wide Hawaiian luaus. Our community features a unique cottage system where residents with similar abilities are grouped together and share a common living room, dining room, laundry room and kitchen area. Cottage residents get to know each other better and participate in activities that are specifically geared for them as individuals. Our outdoor patio and pathway areas are specially secured so residents are kept safe but never have the feeling of being “locked in.”
Available Services
Our nationally recognized Rediscovery™ program for Alzheimer's disease and memory care is designedto go beyond meeting just basic needs of our residents, but rather it enriches their lives by helping them “rediscover” their current abilities. We offer a Lifetime Fixed Pricing program which ensures that monthly fees will not increase throughout the duration of any individual's stay. As needed, assistance with ambulation, medication management, dressing and other daily tasks is provided.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
Valley Crest is a very modern facility. But maybe it’s a bit expensive for the size of the rooms and what they provide. For the price, they should have a phone, internet and a few other things in their room, but they don’t. The food was not appealing. The staff is very courteous and polite. If the visitor has a request for the resident, they accommodate it as best as they can. My friend just felt like there was not enough activity. There’s a large demographic in the community, some are very alert and some are almost in a vegetative state. They geared their programs because they can’t accommodate each patient but they do try.

I visited this facility
We visited Valley Crest Memory Care, which is more of a hospital type setting. The coordinator who gave us the tour was Yolanda, and she was wonderful. They seem to have activities scheduled, and they have both single and shared rooms. The facilities were clean, although a little bit older. We were looking more for a homey type feeling for Mom, but this place felt more clinical. It was a good community and the cost was good, it was just not a good fit for my mom and too far from home. The staff member who accommodated us during the visit was great. I think it's a nice place.
