Because not enough workers/caregivers per shift nd poor, poor, work environment. The place and residents are very friendly. Id just say very poor management and lack of team work being not nuff workers and bad attitudes from some not all, but some employees at LMAL.

I moved mY Mother into Merrill Gardens in late 2013. The management of the facility and operations were very good until early 2014. the Director was replaced and ever since then the quality of service has taken a turn for the worse. There are many staff problems now and the service is not good.

Tacoma is Washington state's third largest city, with a history dating back to 1884. Recent demographics state is has a population of close to 200,000. The city itself is located approximately 50 miles southwest of Seattle. The City of Tacoma has two senior centers, both with many activities to suit the needs of those residents 55 and older. Senior centers offer enrichment classes, social gatherings, fundraisers, free meals, cooking classes, special events, health services, volunteer activities, and any number of activities geared towards keeping the mind active. Seniors can also enroll in physical activity outings like golf, swimming, water aerobics, ping pong, or other such classes. Seniors can sign up for the Senior Center News to keep current with what is happening throughout the year. Residents of Tacoma retirement communities can also participate in activities scheduled within their own community. Activities range from live entertainment, movies, ice cream socials, bus trips to local events.

Medical Facilities

Tacoma boasts some highly respected medical facilities. Hospitals are operated by both Franciscan Health System and Multicare Health System.
