This community is considered a CCRC because it has most all levels of care. It is very upscale in many ways but it is a very long distance to get to some of the apartments. The dinning is upscale and it does have Assisted Living services brought to the apartments...

Seattle Memory CareIsn't it funny how the City of Flowers and Goodwill is also the birthplace of grunge? Situated on a tiny isthmus between Puget sound and Lake Washington, the American city of Seattle is 100 miles south of the Canadian border and yet north of Toronto in Ontario. Home to such musical legends as Jimi Hendrix, Ray Charles and Quincy Jones, this area makes a great settling place for seniors in search of Seattle memory care. Rents in Seattle are about half what they are in New York City, while the city has an overall consumer price index (CPI) of 91.12. Seattle was home to Native Americans for 4,000 years before the first white settlers arrived on the scene in the form of the Denny Party on November 13, 1851. The climate in Seattle has been classified as "oceanic" or "temperate marine." These are euphemisms for "it rains a lot." Seattle is famous for coffee houses, the television series "Frasier" and Microsoft.

Attractions

For sports fans, the main attractions of Seattle memory care are the NFL football team, the Seattle Seahawks, and the Mariners, Seattle's major league baseball team. The more culturally inclined will appreciate the 100 year-old Seattle Symphony Orchestra, the Seattle Opera and the Pacific Northwest Ballet. Medical facilities

The University of Washington Medical Center is consistently listed among the nation's top facilities in medical research, particularly in geriatrics, orthopedics, neurosurgery and neurology. Opened in 1959, it hosts the world's first specialist pain center and housed the first long-term kidney dialysis unit. Managed by UW Medicine, Harborview Medical Center has one of the largest burn centers in the country. It houses the only Level 1 trauma center serving the states of Alaska, Washington, Idaho and Montana.

Transportation

Another important factor in choosing Seattle memory care for the active senior is transportation. A frequent bus service and streetcar line are provided by King County Metro. Sound Transit provides an express bus service, two commuter rail lines and a light rail link. Interstate highways 5 and 90 criss-cross the city north/south and east/west, respectively.
