It has the advantage of being able to go from independent living all the way to Alzheimer's, which is comforting for the children of parents who are having special needs because they don't have to move them a lot. The Woodlands is a town in Texas that is a part of the Houston metropolitan area. Its population is a little over 107,000 and has increased 94 percent since 2000.
