Sunrise of Staten Island is very homey, very comfortable. My mom’s only there for a month and the staff seemed very nice. She’s very happy and she said that they take really good care of her. They have some exercises, they play games, and there’s a lot of music, a lot of sing-along.

My mother is in Sunrise (Sunrise of Staten Island). We liked it initially because of its location and it’s a beautiful facility, but it is costing almost $10,000 a month, which is extremely high. They don’t take Medicaid, so when my mother’s funds run down, we have to move her some place else...

I really liked Sunrise. It looked like a place that my brother-in-law would fit in, and it's clean. The people there were very nice, and the residents were very pleased. It's close to where I live, so it's very convenient to me. The menu looked fine, and the rooms looked nice.
