The 22-mile long Sprinter light rail runs east-west, serving 15 stations connecting Oceanside with Escondido, San Marcos and Vista. The Breeze bus service operates more than 30 lines. Motorists have at their disposal Interstate Highway 5 hugging the coastline south to Tijuana, Mexico. Northward, I-5 diverges inland at San Clemente and proceeds north through the center of California through the states of Oregon and Washington, terminating at the Canadian border. Interstate 15, the fourth-longest interstate north-south highway in the United States, connects Oceanside with the states of Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Idaho and Montana.
