I visited this facility
The person who gave us the tour of BrookStone Assisted Living was very knowledgeable, and she was really helpful as well. The facilities and the place itself was a little bit older, and there was not as much space in the rooms as where my mom is right now. Some of the rooms had carpets, which is probably not a good idea. The entrance and the common areas were really clean, but the apartments that were older could have been painted or refreshed. The carpets over time would look gross no matter how many times you clean them. In their newer apartments they put in a wood-type flooring.

I Visited This Facility
I liked BrookStone the best because it's small. It's very positive and the director was very informative and understanding of what it takes for a person to move out there. They have a nice facility and they have a pretty good choice of room size. The people who live there are very complimentary as well. We saw a 1-bedroom and two different-sized studio-type apartments. They have a pretty full calendar every day of the month and they have card games, special TV-watching parties, a church, hairdresser, amenities, and day trips to go shopping and out to dinner. They keep them quite busy. The staff is excellent, very compassionate people, and they have very low staff turnover, so they really get to know the people living there and care for them. The menu seemed to be pretty basic, but the type of food that elderly people like to eat. The place is a little bit older of a facility, but it's very clean and well-kept.
