The Heritage Tradition was a nice, well-maintained, new facility, but they didn't seem like a fantastic match for my parents. It was pretty expensive and they didn't really have the size of apartment we were looking for, for them. We wanted a larger one for them to share. Everybody was very polite and helpful during the tour. It was a pretty large community, so they had a bigger than average list of activities that they were doing. I only met the person who toured us, and they did a good job of giving me a good idea of what to expect. The food was good; it was one of the better food places I've been in.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past residentReview of Sun City West

My mother is in Brookdale Sun City West Sandridge now. She is in the section that is closed off from all the other residents, and she does get out for social things, but otherwise she is pretty much locked in. They've got chefs that develop their food and all their sauces, and it is very good. I've had a couple of meals there, which are just unbelievable. The staff is like family. All the upper level staff have been there for years. They greet everybody by first name, and they know everybody there. It's a big building with 3 stories and 2 wings -- a wing on each side of the lobby type area. They do a great job taking care of the people there. They do a lot of things, and every week they've got somebody coming in to entertain them. During Christmas, they bring people in constantly and do music programs for them, they do slide shows for travel, and they do things to make it worthwhile for the people to spend time there.
