Description of The Terrace
The Terrace Assisted Living is situated next to Homer Senior Citizens Center in the central area of Homer, Alaska. It's close to the city's commercial establishments and cultural attractions along Pioneer Avenue and and a few blocks from South Peninsula Hospital.
Accommodating older adults 55 and above, The Terrace offers flexible board and care arrangements for independent and assisted living. This 40-bed facility consists of one-bedroom apartments including units for low-income applicants, and the covered utilities include Wi-Fi and cable TV. Staff members include certified nursing assistants, resident aides and a managing registered nurse, and assisted living residents may receive medication assistance and care management services. The Terrace also offers respite care and accepts applicants under Medicaid and long-term insurance programs.
Seniors living in The Terrace have access to community amenities that provide recreational and social opportunities. Nutritious meals are served cafeteria-style in the dining area, and evening snacks are available in the lower community room. There's an on-site salon and barbershop for hair and nail services, and residents can participate in various activities such as bingo, arts and crafts, movies, live music and outings. Wander bands, special meal preparations, transportation and other extra services are available at additional charges.
