The Clairmont is a nice and well-maintained facility. It's all on a single story, so it doesn't require stairs and steps. The game rooms and the library spaces are very nice. The dining area is very central to all the rooms and very nice. The food is very good. The pricing is reasonable. It's a much older facility and because it's all one story, there's a possibility that you can go a long way in walking and getting back. It was obvious that it was built years ago.
Quail Lodge in Antioch is a community of 120 apartments, dedicated only to independent living seniors. They are tucked away from the busy freeway about 4 miles and it is a very serene and quiet community, yet close to medical facilities and shopping and dining. This is the only community I have visited that has pull cords in every room, should a resident need assistance. In addition, in the renovated units, a built-in microwave and full size refrigerator/freezer are included.Their live-in, on-site management team is wonderful and are available to residents 24/7, should the need arise. They are a husband and wife team and are very helpful, cheery, and overall delightful. Their pricing is very reasonable in comparison to many of the other communities in the pricey Bay Area and I encourage any future resident to explore this community.
Landing at Behrman Place is a one of a kind facility. The most interesting part of this facility is that it offers a home-away-from-home program allowing residents to stay at one of this facility’s sister locations. This is a great way from residents to get a change of scenery and get the chance to socialize with new groups of people. Landing at Behrman Place offers plenty of other perks including linen changes. All in all, Landing at Behrman Place is one of a kind.
The Verandah at Graywood is one heck of a facility! This facility is one of the few I’ve ever visited that excelled in pretty much every category. The Verandah at Graywood is almost like resort style living with more amenities and perks than you can think of. This facility is expansive with some of the most stunning property grounds I’ve ever seen. There are more amenities at this facility that can be listed and plenty of activities that insure boredom is something the residents are never faced with.
The facility has amazing grounds including a lake with a fountain. This stunning facility has plenty of seating areas and has an atmosphere of luxury. Inside the eating areas is restaurant quality with an abundance of high end detail. The food is very good and there’s exceptional quality to its taste. There is also plenty of variety for the choosy resident. There are plenty of activities hosted daily to keep residents engaged. Everything from fitness activities to movie days are hosted at this facility.
This facility also has many amazing amenities that make it stand out above all other facilities. This facility has a day spa, business center, fitness center, and a media room with a large screen projector-like television, an art studio, a spacious swimming pool, a fishing pond, library and much more. The entire facility is smoke-free and there’s even an option for residents to receive a month-to-month lease.
Overall The Verandah at Graywood is a facility that leaves very little to be desired. It’s modern and new with a décor that makes it one of kind. It feels a lot like a five star resort with its luxury and meticulous attention to details. If you’re searching for a facility for your loved one, I highly recommend paying this one a visit. It certainly does disappoint as it goes above and beyond in all arenas. With so many amenities, you likely will have no reason to ever step foot outside the property.
Considering all the activities that are hosted here, you’ll find that there’s plenty to keep the residents happy, healthy and busy. The Verandah at Graywood is truly an exceptional facility built with five star tastes.
I thought this was going to be one of those times where the picture deceived me... boy was I wrong. This place is beautiful. It is very nicely decorated. The facility feels like a big family vacation home. Everyone's calm and friendly. They seem to truly love what they do, which made my visit a wonderful experience. They have a nice walking area. It's not toonly steep which makes it easier on the joints.
Tarrytown Estate is a beautiful facility inside and out. The staff is nice, caring and strives to maintain a vibrant and safe environment. Rooms for the residents are spacious, cozy and suitable. The cooking staff prepare wholesome meals for the residents to enjoy three times a day. There are several activities available outdoors and throughout the community. Also, there are wonderful entertainment attractions nearby. Overall, seniors can stay active and reserve their quality of life at this retirement community.
The grounds were clean, tranquil, and peaceful. Everyone I encountered greeted me with a smile and it feels like home. The staff were welcoming and took me on a tour of the newly renovated apartments, to include the on property rehabilitation. Superb dining experience with activities on and off of the property available for personal preference. The Property Managers are a husband and wife team who also live on the property.
This facility is awesome. I visited and was very impressed. The staff members are all friendly and enthusiastic. The facility is nestled in a cozy environment that is the perfect home to spend your golden years in. This place is not a retiring community for people to sit and live out a faint life. The residents here are living life to the fullest, participating in the arts, social activities, and volunteerism.
Everything a person wanted to do before retirement but didn't have time for, this is the place and time to live out your youth. This facility is clean, has great menu choices, and is always seeking ways to improve the standard of living for its residents. Families are allowed and encouraged to visit with their loved one and eat with them, or take a walk around the beautifully landscaped property. I was impressed with the state of the art amenities. Although this place is not extremely upscale, it provides an upscale feel.
There are several activities that foster physical longevity, creative stimulation, and social interaction. Your loved one will not be bored at this facility. They provide a diverse selection of activities that a broad spectrum of people can participate in and appreciate.
I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a place that fosters independence and social awareness. This is definitely and fun place with a variety of activities to keep one busy. The staff is engaging and interactive, and the residents are as well. The residents' lives are filled with something to do each day. Also, all necessary services are provided here, and those services that are not are with proximity of the facility. The facility is near restaurants, shopping centers, medical facilities, and recreational centers.
Tarrytowne is the perfect place to call home for seniors looking for a new home. The cozy apartments are complete with everything you need to feel comfortable and secure. The on call staff is available to serve their residents. This is a great independent/assisted living community. Call or stop by to schedule a visit/tour of the facility. You will not be disappointed. It is also well priced.
First of all, this review is to any family members that would be visiting their relatives who live here or decided to live here. My grandmother has been treated very well and loves it here however, I shouldn’t feel as though I am not welcome when I come to visit. My grandmother has lived here a little over 5 months, about a month after she moved in I started getting in trouble with management. Yes, me her granddaughter who visits her 2-3 times/week. All the other staff at Creekside pines has been nice and professional. I am not impressed with the professionalism of the manager at Creekside pines. I feel that if I didn’t visit so often, this probably wouldn’t be an issue; but I will not stop visiting no matter how rude management is to me because it’s not about my relationship with them, it is about my relationship with my grandmother. I also feel that if I were at least 20 years older this wouldn’t be an issue because I couldn’t imagine yelling and being disrespectful to someone older than me. I feel that I have been disrespected by this place one too many times and that the management needs to learn how to be nice and respectful and also needs to let their rules be known before you get yelled at. I understand that you are trying to run a civil place, but you are the ones not being civil by yelling at visitors.
It's like Home, had been here a few times to visit residents who were friends. Family like the feeling of warmth at Brook Ridge. Like taking the bus for transportation to shopping and appointments. The grounds are so beautiful and keep up. It's clean and maintained all the time. The little things that staff and management do means a lot to me. No task is to big, no request is overlooked. I am happy at Brook Ridge and Love my apartment. It's a safe, friendly, nice place to live! The food and service is the best in town.
No request is to small for the staff, they are always happy to provide for my needs. I have lived at Brook Ridge Retirement for 8 months. Choose Brook Ridge because this is where my friends live and the food is so good. It's the little things the Managers & Staff do that make a difference in living at Brook Ridge.
A Happy Mom! Garden Way is the best! My mom has lived there since September and is loving it. I especially appreciate the staff for their kind support as she made the transition from her home to an apartment there. From the minute she moved in the staff made her feel like family; they did a great job of helping her build relationships with the other residents. She has made many new friends. I have enjoyed the food, (you order from a menu and the food is prepared exactly as you want) and service in the dining room. My grandchildren are welcomed and excited to visit because of the many toys available in the Kid's Playroom and of course they love the ice cream and cookies that are served each meal. There are many activities that she is able to participate in from exercise classes to Bible studies. She easily uses the provided bus transportation. Thank you Garden Way for providing a safe, secure place for my mom.
The management at this community welcomes each guest as if they were visiting their own home, and in fact most of the management live on site. There is expansive space and well appointed areas for sitting and enjoying activities. The dining room is spacious allowing room for walking between tables. The food is delicious and served in style. Grounds and community are well kept and there are plenty of areas to walk outdoors.
After a long, and sometimes exhausting search for a facility for my parents, Art Sr. & Gerri and Aunt Sara, I found Dunwoody Pines. My parents are both wheelchair bound, but are very self-sufficient. I found the staff at Dunwoody Pines very inviting and welling to help with our needs. The location is in a very "Senior friendly" neighborhood with very light traffic. The facility has a very open feel to it, but the residents all seem like family. There are many weekly activities for the residents and my parents are fully engaged in the daily events. My mother attends weekly Tai Chi sessions and my father is "The Bingo King", as he would tell it. The facility has a on-site 3rd party nursing/personal care company, that is well staffed. The facility has visiting Doctors, (not part of the Dunwoody staff), but are very convenient. My mother looks forward to the weekly church services and movie night. My parents both LOVE Dunwoody Pines and the staff. My parents look forward to each and every day at "The Pines".
This is a fabulous independent living facility. The residents receive the finest of services and enjoy living in well appointed apartments. The scheduled activities are very much enjoyed by the residents. On-site management is top notch and extremely professional. A great place for seniors to live.
I love the "atrium" style bldg. plan which leads to the true feel of "community" at Dunwoody Pines. My mother lived here 17 years and the facility provides engagement, care and concern for its residents at any stage of this live experience. The Apartments feel like a real home setting - just what older residents expect. A very fine place.
My mother was a resident at Dunwoody Pines in Atlanta Georgia for eight months. I cannot say enough great things about this retirement community, and the staff there. They all went out of their way to get her involved in activities, even though she had no desire to do so - yet, they didn't give up, because they knew she needed socialization. The activities program is varied and fun! The food was so good, and for the first time in years, she was able to put on weight. The staff and management checked on her frequently, more than I would have expected. The on-site CNA staff (TriMark) took their cue from Dunwoody Pines, and did a great job as well. The attitude of the place is so positive. I only wish my mother had moved in earlier, she may have had an easier time socializing. But she was grateful to be there, and as her child, I was so relieved to have her in excellent, capable hands. Thank you Dunwoody Pines!
After looking at a number of retirement facilities, on April 1, 2011 I moved to Dunwoody Pines. I have been extremely happy with my decision. The management and staff are all great people dedicated to one thing and that is caring for the residents. The facility is great, clean and well maintained. Our activity director has so many things going on it’s sometimes hard to decide which one to participate in. Location, Location, Location, what can I say. We are located just minutes from a Kroger shopping center, minutes from banking, beauty shops, cleaners, barber shop, exercise facility, Chinese food, and the list goes on. The facility is also located near two major hospitals and a number of doctor’s offices. In my opinion you could not make a better decision then to come to Dunwoody Pines.
My parents have lived at Dunwoody Pines for over four years and all aspects of senior living have worked together wonderfully. The staff is extremely cordial and helpful at all times. There are so many different activities going on all the time, but the residents are not "pressured" to participate, unlike other senior communities. Residents can pick and choose their activities based on their personal interests. The chef-prepared food is always nutritionally balanced, made from scratch, and has tremendous variety so the residents have menu choices. Obviously, with my parents living here for four years, they are happy, too. We wholeheartedly recommend Dunwoody Pines!
My Dad and recently passed Mom have been there about 2 years plus. I really like the facility as management is very accessible and is pro resident. I have never had any issues and management has been over accomodating. It is nice to know that people who care, look out for my Dad. There are care services you can buy in small blocks of time, which helps with cost budgeting. It is great to know that my parent's could live (now Dad) in a community that allows for independant living with many services included at a very reasonable price.
I have toured the community and met a lot of.the staff and found they really treat the residents lile family. The environment is welcoming and the grounds are beautiful. The activities are available for the residents and they do participate. We are all very pleased with Tarrytowne.
Dunwoody Pines is in a great location and has a lovely building with a bright atrium. The residents are independent and enjoy a variety of activities. There is transportation provided in the local area.
We placed my Uncle in Tarrytowne after a stroke at the age of 62. He had Intercare come in for home health care and physical therapy. He was able to live independently, but was motivated by the community to make it to meals everyday and join in some social outings. The staff was absolutely amazing. In fact they became like a second family to me and I so treasure their help and care. I would recommend Tarrytowne to anyone who wants great care and great people to watch over their loved ones! Blessings, Lorie Terry
