Our mother Louise is 92 and has lived at Lakeview Senior Living for almost a year now. She did not want to live at a senior living center and fought us for several years. Now she tells my sister and I every day that she absolutely loves living at Lakeview Senior Living and that we should have brought her here a long time ago. She feels very comfortable and secure here.
I personally didn't like Crescent Park Senior Living. The rooms were too small, like living in a cave. They put up a good facade, but it was just a facade. The gals that were at the desk were making decisions that were supposed to be management decisions. The management did not coordinate their ideas with the girls at the desk. I felt very bad for them because they were under constant turmoil. It was just confusing all over the place. It is a new building, probably just a year old.
My mother-in-law has lived at Maple Heights for ten years now. The family is so pleased with the caring staff. The activities are fun, the food tastes great, and it's always clean. Thank Maple Heights for all you do.
I moved my mother into Maple Heights about a month ago, and this place surpasses my expectations. The staff here makes all residents feel special. It is amazing how they always go out of their way to greet them by name, and small talk. The food is awesome, including a choice of prime rib every week. On top of the great facility, the best part for my mom is their support services called 'the medical team'. My mom needs much assistance on a daily basis, and wears a call necklace when she needs help. The aides will respond very quickly AND always with a smile. She had so much anxiety when she first arrived, but the aide told her 'Don't worry, you are never alone. Just press your button and we will be right here with you." These aides are the 'cream of the crop' and I cannot tell you what a difference it is, knowing that my mom is so well cared for, and I don't have to worry about anything. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
When I visited Creve Couer Assisted living I was impressed with the wood and oak cabin design. Not to mention the beautiful fire places. I didn't like all the hard wood floors through out the community but they do have walk in showers in every apartment. And you do get to enjoy a fancy meal of your choice in their European bistro style dining room. And the facility is newly built. The price isn't too bad either. They make affording luxury available for everyone.

Mountain Park is a fairly new facility – less than two year old, 2 story structure is located in the suburban area of Ahwautukee. It is very nicely landscaped, with dual entrances for the both assisted and independent living residents. It also has a memory center. I came in through the assisted living section, with a reception area and dining area, and was greeted by caregiver, who was very pleasant, and offered to take me through to the independent living section, which she did.
On the way, I passed the dining area – very busy, with atmosphere of chatter, and residents were enjoying dinner. Tables were covered with glass over tablecloths, pretty centerpieces, and mostly four-tops – creating a restaurant atmosphere. Glass water pitchers added a nice touch.
Signs hung with chalkboard and hemp talked of upcoming events and registration opportunities – again, a casual, but very warm and friendly atmosphere. Overall based on public area observation and atmosphere: 5 Rating.
I've visited Westview at Ellisville and was amazed by how new the building was. It was small, but big enough for wheelchair access through out. They have lots of activities to stay actively involved in. Like exercise class, bingo, and movie room. You can get luxury for an affordable price. The staff are trained very well with Dementia. They even concentrate on activities that promote independence. I didn't have a chance to enjoy a meal. But they offer 3 meals with many choices of beverages.
I had the privilege of visiting Southview Assisted Living. I was very impressed with its sense of decorations and home like atmosphere. I didn't like that the community was so small. But the small size help those with dementia to be able to navigate around with a piece of mind. As well as the many activities they provide to help individuals with memory loss to adapt and feel at home where promoting independence. Did you know you could have your pet living with you? Which is very important. You can enjoy home away from home with your special pet. Awesome!
The staff at this community are seasoned and able to answer questions without hesitation. The staff are friendly and know the residents by name. The community has a variety of activities for the residents and the activities director and overall staff encourages the residents to participate. The care is good and the care team is aware of individual needs of the residents. The building is clean a little dated in some areas but overall the floor plan is spacious and accommodating.
I was given a tour by April who was so kind and helpful. We also had six follow-up phone conversations. She was so gracious and patient. The facility was alive with seniors enjoying activities, and staff members were smiling a lot! The setting and the grounds are beautiful.
Palos Verde is one of my favorite communities in Arizona. The facility is beautiful from the inside out and you always receive a friendly welcome and warm smile upon entering the lobby. The social areas throughout the facility are open, bright, and very inviting with welcoming tones, cozy furniture, and interesting décor. The care team at Palos Verde is awesome! They are very good with the residents and are always ready to go above and beyond in meeting the needs of each and every resident. I would highly recommend a tour of their facility. If a loving, secure, interactive, and encouraging home is what you are looking for, then look no further than Palos Verde!
The staff is very knowledgeable and offers residents will specialized assisted living / memory care services. The facilities delivers a number of amenities to include: in suite climate controls, spacious rooms, customizable programs, professionalism, an in home theater and a state of the art exercise / physical therapy center. I have found that the environment is very supportive for the residents and family members.
Facility: Mountain Park is a great facility offering multi-care levels – Independent & Assisted Living, 2 types of Memory Care, and a Skilled Nursing unit.
One of my favorite things about Mountain Park is that they are pet friendly, so the residents are able to bring their pets with them or adopt a pet after moving in. Pet therapy in senior living has proven time and time again to work wonders with the residents. Pets decrease feelings of depression, lonliness, and abandonment. They also help the residents to still feel needed as the residents can care for them and walk them, feed them, etc. Pets can help to keep the residents active, through playing and walking them and they help to keep the residents independent and responsible. The only time I don’t like pets in a senior living community is when the staff doesn’t do an excellent job of keeping the community clean and sanitary. It is awful walking into a pet-friendly community and smelling foul odors, seeing urine/feces stains or waste that was not picked up, or seeing fur all over the furniture, carpets, etc. Mountain Park does an excellent job at keeping the community impeccably clean and smelling fresh.
There are many common areas for socialization and plenty of things available to keep residents happy, entertained, and active. There are many sitting areas, there is a library/computer room, movie theater, resident gym, salon, club and conference rooms, activity/game rooms (with a pool table), a private dining room for private events, and more. Outdoors, you will find an inviting swimming pool, a great courtyard patio with table/chair sets with umbrellas for shade, a gardening table for those residents who love to garden, walking paths, a beautiful garden, sitting areas, and more. There are also a lot of grassy areas for pets to play.
The staff members treat the residents exceptionally and the care provided is truly one of the kind. The staff members are beyond respectful, patient, and caring. I deeply admire all they do for the residents each and every day.
Services/Amenities: Another perk of living at Mountain Park is that they offer amazing concierge services before you even move in – and most of the services are included in your monthly fees! They will even help you pack, assist with estate sales, and help you move into the community. They will then assist you in preparing your apartment just the way you like. Once there, the concierge services will help you arrange travel plans, restaurant reservations, entertainment/concert tickets, salon/spa/massage services, veterinary care and grooming services for your pet, gift wrapping and shipping/mailing services, laundry services/dry cleaning, personal training/fitness programs, prescription services, transportation services, party planning, and so much more. Whatever you need, all you have to do is ask!
Activities: The activity calendar month to month is always packed full of creative and entertaining activities that will appease the mind, body, and spirit. I like that the activity calendar is always available on the community’s website so that family members can keep informed of the activities available to their loved ones.
Resident Apartments: At Mountain Park, residents have the option of 2 types of Studios, a 1 bdrm/1 or 2 bath or 2 bdrm/1 or 2 bath apartments. Each floorplan is well-designed offering space and being very creative with the square footage. The smaller studio has a cute kitchenette, but all of the other apartments all have fully-equipped kitchens with stoves/fridge/microwaves, etc., which is awesome for residents who like to prepare snacks at home and the resident is able to stock the kitchen area and refrigerator with their favorite foods/drinks. There are also walk-in closets in all of the apartments which is awesome for extra storage space. With the concierge services, you can have someone come in and offer interior decorating assistance in your new home.
Food Service: I have enjoyed meals here several times and each time was delicious. There are so many menu choices at each meal and the food is prepared using the freshest ingredients. One of my favorite aspects of the food service at Mountain Park is that you can eat whenever you want! Let’s face it, sometimes residents just aren’t hungry at mealtimes – here at Mountain Park, the residents (not the kitchen staff) chooses when and what to eat, no matter the time of day. Residents are welcome to eat in the dining hall, order in room service or eat where, when, and how they please. Options are plentiful at Mountain Park!
The residents always seem so incredibly happy, relaxed, and full of life at Mountain Park. This community is one of my favorites in categories across the board. I don’t think I have ever had one negative opinion about Mountain Park, which is outstanding considering just how opinionated I can be!
New facility with beautiful design inside and out, with a nice large entrance and a great number of parking spots. The rooms are decent size, the bathrooms kind of small but manageable, for different kinds of disability equipment. Very light and bright throughout the whole place and very clean. It is not a "homey" looking facility contrary looks more "business oriented" and indeed they have great professional staff working there. The food is excellent and it is a very good balanced menu they have . I can say they are going extra miles to satisfy everybody in regards to food and adjust menu accordingly. Not too much of personal care, not enough caregivers, and many of them don't have too much experience. The activities are few and you don't see a lot of energy in them. They offer transportation, doctor in the facility and few other services on the side. Mainly if you want more personal care is getting pretty expensive. They also need to have a larger space outside like a grass and flower sitting area where people can socialize.
I love this place! Dreams become reality here. It's unbelievable the love, caring, praises, etc., displayed by all staff. The director has been known to assist residents in ways that families hesitate to do. She shows respect and kindness to all residents and insists all staff to the same, no matter what the problem/situation is. Families receive special treatment too. There are no cookie cutter solutions. All are individualized.
I am a therapy/touch dog. Each week we visit the facility for close to two hours and visits residents sometimes in the hall (as we catch them) but mostly in their rooms. We stay for a few minutes then move on to the next resident. I hear all their stories...usually about family, etc., but sometimes about the staff and facility. My ratings are based not just on what I observe and feel (as I deal with staff) but mostly on what I hear from residents.
My dog and I have been visiting Westview for over a year now. We started shortly after they opened and have been their ever since.
My aunt has lived at Three Oaks in Memory Care for over a year now and she is very content. The staff is so warm and interested in my aunt and her family. Of course they remember her name, but they remember ours as well! Our journey has not been an easy one, but the staff at Three Oaks has been nothing but professional, supportive, and open with communication and solutions to make my aunt as happy and comfortable as possible. It lightens my step to know that my aunt is in the best possible care.
My parents have been living at 3 Oaks Assisted Living since June 1st. The people there have done everything I could ask to make them feel at home. My dad tells me how good the food is, especially the soups. I have gone to a few of the activities and they are wonderful as well. The facility is so beautiful that I feel like I'm walking into a 4 star hotel. Keep up the good work! We are lucky to have a facility like this in Cary!
My mother has a mild case of Alzheimer's disease and with the loss of her 2nd husband recently, we had no choice but to find her an assisted living and memory care facility within 10 miles of where we live. We were elated with Three Oaks' offerings, the cleanliness of their facilities, the 24/7 nursing care and the dignity with which they treat their residents.
My mother is involved with memory stimulating activities throughout the day and has found Three Oaks to be the next best thing to her former residence of 22 years. The staff at Three Oaks works very hard to embrace and care for the needs of my mother and the other residents. They succeed every day, in my estimation.
What's impressive about Three Oaks is that the entire staff, not just caregivers, are extraordinarily attentive and friendly; they all know my 90 year old mother and are genuinely interested in her. While my mother is still very independent for the most part, I think a key to this has been the "Residence Club", which is an every-day-of- the-year program that from breakfast thru dinner keeps the 10-12 group participants active and engaged. The program is directed by 2 wonderful, caring, experienced individuals who do an exceptional job. At first, we were hesitant in paying for this extra service, but it has turned out to be the best possible bargain. The bottom line is that in the year she has been at Three Oaks, my mother has felt better than she did in the preceding years she had been at other facilities. Over the last 10-15 years, I have been at many nursing homes, and none come close to matching Three Oaks for the quality of its facilities, food, programs and personnel. I highly recommend it.
My neighbor has been at Three Oaks Memory Care for just about a year. In all this time, he has been happy, well cared for and really and truly enjoying the food and attention he receives. I feel like he now has a new family that can give him the attention he needs. Not once have I found him not taken care of. He is always clean, and content. The staff is very caring, and it's not a pretend caring, they are sincere. My neighbor loves the "feeding the ducks" outing or anything that pertains to animals. This is one GREAT place and I strongly recommend this faculity.
Opened just last year, this facility is beautiful and has the ambiance of a fine hotel. The staff is just absolutely wonderful to our mother, with smiles and kindness for her, and are professional and knowledgeable. After much research within this area, our family is extremely pleased with Three Oaks as a facility and for the pricing, which is outstanding for all that they offer and give to their residents.
Three Oaks is the best assisted living place I've seen! You feel like you are in a 5 star hotel! From the caregivers to the front desk staff to housekeeping, everyone is super friendly. VERY clean, beautiful dining room and physical therapy is available on site. Nice room layouts and the best kitchenette's I've seen. I wish there were more activities and the food needs a little improvement but overall is pretty good. I would recommend Three Oaks highly and would not hesitate at all in placing a loved one here.
I am so impressed with Three Oaks. My 90 yr old mother-in-law in happy, safe, well-cared for in a beautifully decorated, clean smelling "home". I love the staff and all my and my mother-in-laws concerns (which can be "old fashioned" at times) are addressed and resolved quickly.
I am an estate planning attorney in Rocky River and have dealt with many facilities with my clients. The Gardens far exceed the care given by other facilities with their level of care, concern the the residents and their families and by the overall facilities. Highly recommend them without hesitation.
