After a year of Emerald Oaks living, I am convinced that this is the most responsive staff in the business. Whether its getting that "second" cup of coffee, or valet parking your car on a rainy afternoon, these guys do it gladly and with enthusiasm. They even hung my pictures! The new apartments come with modern, complete kitchens with granite counter tops. Granite in the bathroom, also. Perhaps, the best feature is the three daily meals, complimented with room service on those days one feels like staying in. Come by and share a meal and conversation with the residents. You will be glad you did.
We like the Reflection Ridge the very best of all. As a matter of fact, we had put some money down to get on their waiting list, but the problem with it is that it’s independent living, and they submitted a plan where you can have a contracted supplier come into your unit if you needed assistance to make it more like an assisted living quarter, and so that’s essentially what we’ve decided on. I’ve not eaten there, but I’ve seen the display on the menu and it’s all very nice. It’s covered tables and you order from a variety of things on the menu. It’s expensive but has the things that we like, and it overlooks a golf course and has balcony on it, so those are all pluses. We didn’t talk much about the activities, but the thing that appeals most to us in that regard is that the facility is within a mile from our kids in Wichita, which is a big draw. They have a large 125-person movie theater and auditorium for their festivities and presentations.
Sherrill Hills Retirement Community was a fairly new place. I chose it basically for my wife and I for the size of their apartments and it's updates. We are still on their waiting list. I like that their management was very friendly as well as the residents.
We moved in when they opened, and have not regretted the decision. Staff goes above and beyond, residents are welcoming and we have become a real "family" complete with the oddball relative we all have and love. Chef is wonderful and ready to add any items. Nice to have someone get your car in lousy weather, and always with a smile.
Stone Oak retirement is a resort style independent living community for very active seniors. This community is great for couples as well single seniors. The dinning room is restaurant style and the food is delicious. The residents are able to socialize and enjoy meals. The dinning room in open, specious with a lot of light. The apartments are updated and spacious. The building is clean and the residents make sure the building remains this way. They offer support services for seniors who need a little more help or wellness checks. The staff are fast pace and ready to answer questions and make sure all the resident's are satisfied. The activities are endless and they include golf and major trips that are beyond the basic activities. Overall this community is nice for active seniors.
My mother made the move to Maple Ridge from a gorgeous facility in Richmond Hills, Georgia, so you know that she was very impressed! She has been very happy with her choice. She loves the freedom that comes with the ala carte dining options and knowing that she no longer has to do any cooking or outside shopping for food. The staff at Maple Ridge has been exemplary, doing everything possible to make my mother's home there comfortable and safe.
I love the togetherness and the care that we have for each other...residents for each other... and between the excellent staff and the residents. We look out for each other, we notice if someone is not at a meal, and we notice if someone is alone and needs a friend. The manager, Stacy Fuller, added life and sunshine to this place…you could cry and she would have her arms around you, you could laugh and she would laugh with you… the old saying cry and cry alone is not true here… I love this place.. the people, the staff, the extremely well planned activities, and the variety. The food is much better, I rate it now a 4 1/2 out of 5. I recently made a suggestion about an item I would like to see on the menu, and low and behold the next time it was there..Turkey and Gravy!!! Provident Crossings listens!! Resident--Grace McNamara-Blitch
My wife and I visited Maple Ridge to see if we would like to live there. The answer is "yes!" The staff is very friendly and helpful. One can choose from various options at meal time: One option is the buffet line and another option is sitting in the fine dining section. In the fine dining section, the staff brings your choice of food and drink to your table. There are many activities for the residents every day. There is a concierge on duty who will even provide valet parking. The atmosphere there is bright and expansive. There are many areas where a person can hang out alone or with others. We are very impressed with the facility. We have just taken the first step for moving in.
Mom he has been extremely pleased with everything. The facility is like living in a "5" Star Hotel. The food and service is excellent. The staff does a great job and everyone is always smiling and friendly.
Our living here has been delightful. The management here or very helpful and caring and our activity director is very creative in find things for the residents to do. To sum it up, we would not like to live anywhere else.
