A beautiful, safe and friendly community for active seniors in Las Vegas Nevada is Pacifica Senior Living – Regency. Our community is built to provide a comfortable, stylish, intimate senior care to our residents.
Pacifica Senior Living is in a good, easy to get to location, and clean. The staff is friendly and very professional with a positive attitude. The rooms are of average size. The dining area is very nice and clean.
I visited quite a few but I ended up going with Pacifica Spring Valley. For my godfather, the room was set up for two but there is one in the room. The room is fine. It has two beds and some furniture. I guess I can say it is just what you expect from a memory care facility. They seem to be doing OK with everything over there. They have a little patio area but no exercise room. They do the Wii, have activities, have groups that come in for karaoke and singing, and games.
We moved my brother into Pacifica Green Valley (Pacifica Senior Living Green Valley). It had a real family feel. He has traumatic brain injury and says the community is fine. I was looking for something in a specific geographic location that my mother could drive to, and it is the first one we went to because it is closest. We were very lucky that we were very happy with this one and didn’t have to look at any other.
Pacifica was a small community, a touch more expensive, and each set of four apartments were on one temperature control, so we didn't like that. It was very nice, very clean, and more modern. They had less residents, so there was a smaller eating area. There weren't quite as many activities going on but it was more stylish.
Pacifica Senior Living stood out in my mind. I was really impressed. We had an excellent lunch served by the staff who were very cheerful and caring people. The food was very good. As we spoke, unfortunately, I ran into a problem with a woman who was in charge of the admission. She told me that I would have to stand for one minute unaided, which I could not do. The grounds were well kept and offered a very pleasant atmosphere. The dining area was clean and spacious. They had a shuttle bus that would take you once a week to go shopping. They had a lounge area with TV and internet access. They seemed to have everything well covered.
We were not impressed with Pacifica Senior Living Regency. The rooms were smaller, and I didn't have a great impression of that overall. The staff was nice, but the facility definitely was not nice for the price. Even the dining and the activities were definitely not as nice. They had a very small library. The staff was nice, answered questions, and was helpful. The dining area was small, and the food was on a limited menu, from what we could tell.
Pacifica is clean and neat, and the people working there are very loving; even the maintenance person is wonderful. The only thing I don’t like is that they recently had a big change in their help. My father is living there in a clean, nice apartment. The dining area's food is great, and they have lots of little extra celebrations and events. They have music, church services, bingo, and memory games. I think they had a barbecue today. They have lots of activities if people want to do them.
Pacifica Senior Living Spring Valley was one of the places that responded to my query early. I liked their arrangement. They seemed to be very caring people, and as it turned out, they are. They listen to the caregivers and the residents. My husband is still in the early stages, so he can communicate, and they've been very responsive. What impressed me was that it wasn't an overly large community. It's small, so he doesn't get lost. It's small enough where they can pay attention to every resident. They do activities, and I even did an activity with them. They have a woman who comes and does a drumming session to energize the individuals. I felt energized after doing the first one with them. The food is good and varies with diet. They give them two choices with each meal, but the food could be a little warmer when it's served. I haven't had any major complaints with the meals I've had. The common ground area is still a work in progress, but what they've accomplished is very well done. I enjoy the fact that they have a walking track around the building, which we have utilized on good days. They also have indoor enclosed patios, which is a very good idea. The residents can sit out and be outdoors but still be safe. They do keep them safe. There have been no illnesses or anything that I noticed and this is going on his second month. They keep the place clean.
I absolutely love Pacifica. They were excellent and felt more like a community with friendly staff. The residents were smiling and looked happy and at home. They were having a party when we went there. They have a once-a-week activity, like wine tasting or a band comes in. If someone wants their nails or hair done, someone comes once or twice a week to do that. They offer respite care for up to a month.
The staff and residents of Pacifica Senior Living Spring Valley were fine. They were doing an Italian theme, so everything was Italian throughout, which was kind of cool. The atmosphere seemed casual. It was clean, and everything was fine, but the place was full.
