Maplewood at Stony Hill opened December of 2014. The grounds are immaculate and beautifully landscaped. Interior areas are clean, spacious and designed with patient centered care in every detail. My observation IS every effort was made to insure clients feel as if at home. Greeted with smiles from staff, clients engaged in a multitude of activities and a secure setting to meet the demands of memory care. Edward B.
Building and grounds are well kept, free of debris and inviting. Greeted with a smile at the entrance, a quick walk through the common areas and dining room indicated high expectations of staff in housekeeping, décor and orderliness. Designed to be inviting and comfortable, many active and engaged clients were out and about! Smiles all around!
I love this Assisted Living. My mother is 92 and moved in a month ago. She has slight memory loss and health issues. They have Skilled Nursing around the clock and aides that check on her every hour. The aides are thoughtful and caring and all of them have been there a long time. I am friendly with them and they treat everyone with respect. Management is caring, respectful, and listens carefully to concerns and acts immediately to resolve. We came from Ridgefield Crossings and they spoke in twisted tongues. You never knew after a discussion ended what was truth or what was a lie. My Mom's life could no longer be in their hands. I always told my Mom I wouldn't put her any place I would not want to be. Stony Hill treats her like family and the aides feel the same. That gives an idea of atmosphere. The aides help quietly and lovingly. My Mom almost died at the other place. Ridgefield Crossings is all talk and no action. They remind you of buying a car from a dealer who does quick talking. Here, she is thriving and her memory is being stimulated. She loves the massive, beautifully landscaped garden area with the teak benches. The dinnerware is made in Germany and chefs are graduates from Culinary College. The food is so delicious and inexpensive for family to eat, too. They focus on ALL DIET RESTRICTIONS, whereas Ridgefield Crossing you could have salt all day with your memory loss, and end up in the hospital. I am thankful for Stony Hill and know I can trust them with my Mom. They give more than what you pay for. I don't have to watch over her every day now to keep her safe. They do it for me. My visits are not fighting for what isn't being done but now, enjoying our time together. Did I say I LOVED THIS PLACE. ..? I do.
Maplewood at Heather Hill is a gorgeous, large senior complex. It sits on a large piece of land and has a nice resort feel to it. The community was very clean, the staff was very professional and friendly as well. I received a tour from the marketing coordinator who is also an LPN so she comes with a lot of knowledge. There was a schedule for community activities posted in the common area, the schedule displayed full days of activities for the residents but I did not witness an activity while I was there. I did notice a bistro area for the residents which was stocked with fresh fruits, pastries and hydration, very nice. I would certainly move my loved one here.
