Leisure Care retirement communities are not like your grandma’s old folks home. Our communities resemble luxury resorts offering good food, good friends and what we like to call Five-Star Fun. You won’t find our residents scrubbing floors, mowing lawns or taking out the trash, because we do all of that for them. Our 24-hour staff is there to provide world-class service, so our residents can make the most out of life. With over three decades of experience, Leisure Care works hard every day to provide seniors with the best, and most fun, living experience they’ve ever had.

Springfield Place is 10 minutes away from my house. My in-laws have a two-bedroom, two-bathroom, so it fit the criteria they needed. It’s OK. Pretty much everybody has the same service, care, activities, and amenities they offer. They’re basically all the same. The location and the layout of the building look nice and clean. Everyone seems friendly, too. There are a myriad of activities, but my parents haven’t done anything yet. They’re just newly in. Like most places, they have guest lectures, cards, bingo, movie night, and happy hour. I have not eaten there, but my in-laws love the food.
We saw two big rooms at MacKenzie Place. We saw a lot of activities when we went there. It felt a little bit friendly. They were setting up for some music, and a group playing bingo and other games. With what we saw, we liked it. Their dining area was very nice.
Springfield Place is very nice. We got a nice tour and good information. It's expensive, but it was a good experience. The rooms and apartments are beautiful, very nicely appointed, spacious, and well kept up. The grounds are very nice, well manicured, and spacious, and there was opportunity for residents to work with landscaping, so it's nice. The dining area looked very nice, clean, inviting, and welcoming.
Madrona Park is a great, clean place, and the food is great. The staff is friendly, and when Mother needs somebody to come, they come within a reasonable amount of time. They have cocktail hour on Friday and movies. She is comfortable there.
Fairwinds was an older property that had not been updated. The dining room and the furniture were old and not in good shape. The residents did not look happy. The salesperson just showed us one apartment, took us to the dining room, and left. She was not as friendly and did not seem like she really wanted us.
Newport Beach Plaza is not a huge facility. There were a lot of activities, a group getting ready to go on a whale watch, and people in the dining room. Everybody knew somebody that was there. They had a recreation room, a TV room, a library, a deli, bar, and a dining room where you could eat breakfast any time you want. There were also a lot of awards on a table. The residents knew it was a good place. They also said they were having a special where residents would save $15,000 a year, the first year. It's a good incentive.
Most of the people at Fairwinds were a little a bit older. I am 68, and they just seemed to be older. It costs $3,000 a month, which is too high for me. The staff seemed to be nice and polite. The rooms were standard, and they had a lot of activities, like field trips. It was well managed.
We decided on Fairwinds. I like the price, amenities, physical therapy, personal training, and the amount of exercise equipment available. It seems to be affordable and includes the extras for no extra charge. The staff seems to be intent on keeping residents active and busy. There is an option to see a doctor who comes to visit once a month. They also have trips.
We were very impressed with Fairwinds Rio Rancho. The rooms were very spacious and nice. The dining area was excellent. There were so many activities like live music, happy hour, and workout center. I was very pleased with everyone.
We were very impressed with Fairwinds. This is probably what we will choose because it’s the closest to us, and we felt that it was the nicest. The size of the rooms was nice. The studio apartment, which is probably what my aunt would get, was quite large. They had a lot of activities, and the place was very clean and looked very well kept. The people were very nice, especially the two gals that showed us around, and we just were very impressed. It had a beautiful view of the mountains.
Fairwinds is an excellent facility, and I am very pleased with it. It's very clean and spacious. The staff was very thorough, competent, and very concerned about the residents getting to activities. There's a lot of participation. The dining area and staff are excellent.
I visited Fairwinds for my parents. It’s a nice facility, but it’s older and in some ways, a little bit more rundown. The people are nice, but the facility’s smaller and has fewer amenities. It’s a little overpriced for what’s available. The staff is amazing.
Wow! Beautiful property! We find the staff to be skilled and accomodating, and the food is top notch. We understand that there was some turnover last summer, but its clear that the right folks are in place now. Its definetly worth a look, close to The Villages and drs and shopping.
I took a tour the facilities and talked with the staff and residences. It was very clean and welcoming. They are big on providing a secure facility and put safety first. The team of staff I met was well trained and many have been there a long time.
The staff was very friendly. When I called, they were willing to talk to me and answer my questions. I I do feel there could be more staffing on-site. When I was there I noticed several residents press their buttons, to go to the bathroom for example, I observed some waited for a good 15-20 minutes to respond. Also, some were complaining because they were late receiving their meds.
It was nice to see all the activities offered. They have several different classes and the day I visited there was a van full going on a scenic drive.
I found this facility to be on the pricier side but still cheaper than some of the others in the area. One downfall is they charge for every little service.
I would like to see better communication put in place between the staff. I noticed staff was approached about the same situation multiple times and it doesn't seem like they communicate well with each other.
I spoke with a residents daughter she stated the transition from the family home of 55 years has not been easy but the Russellville staff have gone beyond the call to introduce her mother to other residents, to participate in activities, and have taken time to have a conversation with her to make her feel at home. She said after a time they had to add Wellness Services such as escorts to and from the restroom and to the dining area. She said the transition was easy for her mother and it has only enhanced her quality of life.
I got to eat on the restaurant and pick a meal off the menu. It was tasty I chicken with vegetables. The amenities and accommodations are nice and clean the staff great they seemed to not only interact with the residents but knew them by name.it is on the pricey side and parking could be better but overall it was a great facility.
Outstanding facility for independent seniors and seniors needing a little assistance with activities of daily living. The facility has a large capacity for residents and is located by the ranch so residents have plenty to keep them busy, with activities on site and within walking distance of recreation.
The food is great. I had breakfast during my visit with one of the residents, and healthy meals are served and prepared on site. This facility is family and pet friendly. I saw a few pets during my visit. I love this facility because the activity director is very nice and welcome suggestions. This is a great facility for seniors who are independent and want to retain there independence and meet new friends.

Crossroads Retirement Center is not only a beautiful facility, but ideally located in Bellevue and easy to get to. I visited on a day when it was raining quite hard and as soon as I walked through the door, two staff members were there to help me with my coat and a towel to dry off; I forgot my umbrella, so I was soaked. As always the staff was excellent.
I found my way to my resident; she told me she had just got back from the drug store. Crossroads Retirement Center offers a shuttle to take their residents shopping, and she said she and a couple of her friends had been taking walks to one of the local parks. It is nice seeing her keep an active lifestyle, I like that she has safe travels to and from.
We sat in the dining room, and it is very pleasant, there were a few others doing the same. A set of gentlemen was off in the corner laughing. I had a bowl of soup and cup of tea. It was good as always, I have eaten a few times and never disappointed. My resident resides in one bedroom; it is the perfect size for her and comes with a full kitchen and good sized bathroom. Crossroads have done a good job with their apartments. Her apartment equipped with an emergency system for added safety. A great feature and a must for peace of mind.
She also loves that she doesn’t have to do laundry, as there is a full laundry facility on site. She does on occasion use the weekly housekeeping; this was great while she recovered from her knee surgery.
The combination of excellent staff, quality apartments, community feel and all the fun activities she absolutely loves, gives her the chance to live a productive life, filled with activities and fun and me peace of mind that she is safe.
I truly enjoy visiting my resident and getting to see everyone, sometimes it takes a minute to get all the hugs and stories they have to tell me but I enjoy each and every visit and staff member.
One of the most appealing features at The Vantage at Cityview is the beautiful courtyards with walking paths and seating areas. This active community have a variety of ongoing daily activities that involves fitness and socialization. This community has a theater and a variety of onsite activities and entertainment. The full time activities director also schedules outings such as basic trips to grocery stores, banks, specialty stores, casinos and Ranger games. The apartments are spacious and updated with full kitchens or residents can enjoy 3 meals a day in the restaurant style dining room. The receptionist and staff are very friendly and willing to provide information about the community. Overall this community is a good fit for independent residents.
Facility: Broadway Proper is just lovely. The facility feels homey and inviting. There is an energy in the air that is a refreshingly different compared to many senior living communities. There is a sense of peace and relaxation among the constant sound of pleasant conversation. The grounds are remarkably well kept and inside the facility always appears clean and uncluttered.
Residents: The residents always seem happy and busy. They appear to be very close and friendly with one another and they seem to really enjoy living together. There is never a sense of annoyance or tension between them, but more so a relaxed, family-like connection is present.
Staff/Quality of Care: The staff members are very nice. Very helpful to visitors. It is easy to see that they take pride in showing off their community and they are committed to caring for the residents. They take joy in resident accomplishments and they are always there to unconditionally support the residents during difficult days. I would not think twice about leaving my loved one in their care.
Activities: There is literally always something going on during the day here, it seems. The activity schedule is packed full of fun outings, events, and activities that will keep the residents active and their days full.
Food: I have never personally tried the food. I have, however, had more positive than negative reviews regarding the food service and staff.
My parents have lived at Russellville Park for three years now. They moved into a new, very nice 1 bedroom apartment in independent living. (no services required) Eventually, they added care services under assisted living but remain in their same apartment.
My family is extremely satisfied with the consistently, excellent care they receive. The food is always great. Transportation to doctor appointments is offered 3 days per week & shopping on the other two days. Showering, dressing, & other personal care is handled most respectfully. The nurses and med-aids that dispense their medication are wonderfully kind & knowledgeable.
My mother is entering the late stages of Alzheimer's but able to stay in her home with my father. There has been no pressure to move her into Memory Care. She enjoys attending a new program geared to her needs 3 days per week. It's nice to see her smiling again!
I have found from management to housekeeping, it has been a very nice environment for my parents.
Russellville Park has been an excellent community for my mother who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease last year. Initially, Mom lived in a beautiful assisted living apartment which was so clean, bright and safe for her (which was a cheery change from her house where she lived before the move). Her cognitive decline necessitated a transfer into the memory care unit which the staff facilitated with compassion and skill. At every step of what has been a difficult journey for my mom and our family, the Russellville staff have provided us with tremendous support and reassurance. The care they demonstrate seems quite genuine and brings us peace of mind that Mom is being treated with dignity and respect. She is in a very safe environment while she also enjoys excellent meals, social stimulation and emotionally/cognitively enriching activities. We are very grateful for Russellville Park and recommend it highly!
My mom loved this place. Unfortunately she had to move when she was no longer considered "independent". She was not happy for the first month or so just because of the change but by the 3rd month she was saying she had died and gone to heaven and LOVED it! She is one picky lady too. Jessica the manager is an Angel. She is so sweet and friendly. Her employees are all happy and I believe she is the reason. It's clean, updated, and well run. I recommend it all the time to my friends looking for their parents. The care givers are wonderful. My mom called Mimi her best friend. The reason I gave the food 3 stars is because it was on and off. Sometimes it was really good and other times not good. The reason I gave the overall 4 stars is because the caregivers were 90% great but there were a couple of them that were not as patient and kind as they should have been in that job. That is going to happen anywhere. I would like to give the place 4 1/2 stars but couldn't make it highlight half of the 5th star.
